Job summary

Intertek is seeking a GTW Auditor in Chennai/Tirupur to conduct GTW and related audits across India. You will compile reports within defined turnaround times and ensure they meet client requirements.

The role requires BE/B.Tech in Leather tech or MSc Chemistry with leather experience, 4+ years in a leather tannery, and strong communication. Travel across India is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• BE or B.Tech in Leather Processing/Technology, or a Masters in Chemistry with leather experience.
• 4+ years of experience in a leather tannery.
• Experience with dyeing/processing/printing is preferred.

Qualification

BE or B.Tech in Leather Processing/Technology, or a Masters in Chemistry with experience in leather processing/tannery.

Relevant Experience

4+ years of experience in a leather tannery.

Expertise

• Good communication skills, both speaking and writing.
• Chemical background with high experience in the product health and safety area and manufacturing processes, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a leather tannery, including Dyeing/Processing/Printing, etc.
• Technical professionals from the leather tannery industry could also be considered with 5 years of experience.
• Environmental background and knowledge of water treatment.
• Knowledge of local environmental laws.
• Familiarity with quality requirements for final leather garments and lab processes, including pH, colour fastness, and risky chemicals.
