Job summary

A leading engineering firm is looking for a Mid-Senior level engineer with a Master's in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, and at least 10 years of relevant design experience in the Oil and Gas, Refinery, and Petrochemical sectors. Responsibilities include conducting hydraulic calculations, leading design activities, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Candidates should have strong technical skills in AutoCAD and other design software. This is a full-time design role located in Bangalore, India.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant design experience in Oil & Gas, Refinery, or Petrochemical sectors.
• Good knowledge of industry-related standards such as ASME, API, ISA, IEC.
• Experience leading a group of P&ID engineers/designers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Fire Gas Release System Hydraulic Calculation, Specification, and Requisitions.
• Perform Fire Water Demand Calculations and Fire Water System Hydraulic Calculation (FPHED).
• Develop Fire Fighting System Layouts and Fire Gas Detection and Alarm Layouts.

Summary of the Position

• MS in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or similar and a minimum of 10 years of relevant design experience in the industry sectors of Oil & Gas, Refinery, and Petrochemical.
• Having good knowledge in the following activities:
• P&ID review, Hazard Identification (HAZID), Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) reviews, and E&I/3D reviews.
• Familiar with ASME, API, ISA, IEC, and other industry-related standards.
• Leading a group of P&ID engineers/designers.
• Leadership of the project progress, budgets, and technical interviews.
• Shall be organized, motivated, and flexible.
