Job summary

Grant Thornton INDUS is seeking a highly experienced Lead Workday Finance Functional to drive large-scale Workday Financials implementations. This client-facing leadership role requires hands-on design, configuration, and testing across global deployments, bridging technical capabilities with financial processes.

The candidate will lead end-to-end implementations, manage multi-country localization, and contribute to pre-sales activities, estimation, and continuous improvement of delivery

Qualifications

Lead on 2+ large Workday Financials implementations with hands-on design, configuration, and testing.
Proven experience in Spend (Financial, AP, Fixed Asset) and integrations with other applications: supplier accounts/contracts, procurement, inventory, and banking.
Experience with global deployments and localization requirements across multiple countries.
Ability to identify strategies, risks, mitigations, and lead testing/issue resolution.
Experience in pre-sales activities including scope/effort/resource estimation.
Workday certifications (Financial Core/Reporting/P2P) are desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead End-to-End Implementations: act as the Lead Functional consultant on 2+ large enterprise end-to-end Workday Financials implementations, owning hands-on design, configuration, and testing.
Global & Multi-Country Deployments: manage localization across taxes, legal, regulatory requirements.
Pre-Sales & Estimation: support pre-sales activities with accurate scope and resource estimation.
Methodology & Continuous Improvement: refine delivery practices and contribute to process improvements.

Responsibilities

Lead End-to-End Implementations: Act as the Lead Functional consultant on 2+ large enterprise end-to-end Workday Financials implementations, owning hands-on design, solutioning, configuration, and testing. • Spend Management & Core Finance: Drive requirements and configuration across P2P (Procure to Pay), GL cycles with deep expertise in: Supplier Accounts/Contracts, Procurement, Financials, AP, Fixed Assets, Banking & Settlement, Inventory, and Integration with other applications.
Global & Multi-Country Deployments: Manage complex deployments involving localization requirements (tax, legal, regulatory) across multiple countries. • Strategic Problem Solving: Identify strategies, alternatives, approaches, risks, and mitigations to meet business requirements. Assist in testing and resolving complex issues. • Methodology & Continuous Improvement: Develop and refine delivery methodologies, contributing to continuous improvements in implementation practices. • Pre-Sales & Estimation: Support pre-sales activities, including accurately estimating scope, effort, and resources required to complete projects.

Required Technical & Professional Experience Implementation Leadership

Must have acted as Lead on 2 or more Large Enterprise End-to-End Workday Financials implementations with hands-on design, configuration, and testing experience. • Core Spend Areas: Proven experience in Spend (Financial, AP, Fixed Asset) and integrations with other applications, specifically: • Supplier Accounts / Contracts • Procurement • FDM (Financial Data Model) • Business Assets • Banking & Settlement • Inventory • Global Deployments: Demonstrated experience with global/multi-country deployments, including localization requirements. • Risk & Testing: Ability to identify strategies, alternatives, risks, mitigations, and lead testing/issue resolution. • Methodology & Pre-Sales: Experience in developing delivery improvements and supporting pre-sales activities (scope/effort/resource estimation).

Preferred Technical & Professional Experience

Financial & Procurement Roles: Background in financial accounting and procurement roles • Additional Workday Areas: Experience in FDM, Financial Accounting, Budgets, Reporting, Banking, Taxes, Supplier Accounts/Contracts, Procurement, Business Assets, Inventory.

Data & Reporting

Hands-on Workday data conversion (EIB, iLoads) and/or report development experience.
