Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Gurugram invites experienced Windows Server Administrator to lead and manage enterprise Windows environments (2016/2019/2022), across production and non-production systems. This role requires strong technical leadership and hands-on expertise.

You will be the L3 escalation point, design AD DS, GPOs, DNS/DHCP, and multi-domain setups, while coordinating with security and network teams.

Qualifications

• 8-14 years of experience in Windows server administration.
• 3+ years in a Lead or Senior Windows Administrator role.
• AWS and Nutanix certification is required.
• PowerShell or Automation Certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022) across production and non‑production systems.
• Act as L3 escalation point for complex Windows infrastructure issues.
• Ensure high availability, performance, security, and stability of Windows platforms.
• Design, administer, and troubleshoot Active Directory (AD DS) environments.
• Manage and optimize Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
• Administer DNS, DHCP, and domain services.
• Manage FSMO roles, AD replication, and multi‑domain/forest environments.
• Oversee server build, patching, upgrades, and decommissioning.
• Ensure compliance with security hardening standards and baselines.
• Support vulnerability remediation and audit requirements.
• Plan and execute OS upgrades and migrations.
• Managing Infra using Prism Central and Prism element.
• Ensure effective monitoring and alerting of Windows environments.
• Analyse performance trends and proactively address capacity risks.
• Coordinate with monitoring and security teams for alert optimization.
• Lead resolution of major incidents related to Windows infrastructure.
• Perform and review Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Drive permanent fixes and preventive actions.
• Review and approve change requests for Windows systems.
• Mentor, guide, and technically enable L1/L2 administrators.
• Conduct technical reviews, knowledge transfer, and training sessions.
• Coordinate with network, security, application, and cloud teams.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, customers, and management.
• Create and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and technical documentation.
• Ensure adherence to ITIL processes and SLAs.
• Support audits, DR drills, and business continuity activities.
• Implement and maintain PowerShell automation to improve efficiency.
