Job summary

Carrier is seeking a Lead - WC Chiller Sustaining & Value Engineering to drive product development and optimization for chillers. You will oversee design localization, VE initiatives and cross-functional collaboration to enhance performance and cost efficiency.

The role focuses on testing, validation, and ensuring regulatory compliance across regions, reporting to the engineering leadership in a full-time capacity based in Gurugram/Sri City.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of experience in product and value engineering.
• Minimum qualification is B.E/B.Tech graduate.

Responsibilities

• Design, development & localization of products.
• Drive VE & product optimization for chillers.
• Support troubleshooting, RCA & field issues.
• Manage ETO/MTO & customer-specific solutions.
• Drive technical proposals & requirements management.
• Foster cross-functional & cross-regional alignment.
• Ensure standards & regulatory certifications (BEE, AHRI, ASME).
• Oversee end-to-end delivery from concept to release.

About The Role

As the Lead -WC Chiller Sustaining & Value Engineer for Carrier., you’ll executes elements of product development activities and testing. Responsible for enhancing commonality and optimization of product and components.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Engineering – Responsible for Design, development & localization
• Value Engineering – Drive VAVE & product optimization efforts for Chillers
• Problem Resolution – Support Troubleshooting, RCA & field support
• Custom Engineering – Manage ETO/MTO & customer specific solutions
• Customer Support – Drive Technical proposals & requirements management
• Collaboration – Drive Cross‑functional & cross regional alignments
• Compliance – Standards & regulatory certifications (BEE, AHRI, ASME, QCO)
• Quality & Reliability – Continuous improvement

Requirements

• Chiller Expertise – Screw, Scroll, Centrifugal
