Job summary

Henkel in Chennai is seeking an experienced Warehouse & Logistics Lead to govern 3PL warehouse operations and drive KPI-based performance. You will manage contracts, SLAs, and pricing with external partners, while supervising budgets and cost optimization. Strong SAP WM/EWM, WMS, EDI, and automation experience is essential.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, SHEQ compliance, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize warehouse networks and space utilization.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse operations and related processes.
  • Experience managing 3PL providers, contracts, SLAs and KPIs.
  • Knowledge of SAP WM/EWM, WMS, EDI and warehouse automation.
  • Strong Excel and Power BI analytical capabilities.
  • Familiarity with SHEQ standards and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and govern 3PL warehouse operations to meet service levels and policies.
  • Drive warehouse performance with KPI management and cost control.
  • Lead 3PL governance, reviews, SLAs, pricing, and contracts lifecycle.
  • Oversee warehouse financials, budgets, spend analysis and cost saving.
  • Utilize SAP/WMS/EDI and automation tools to boost efficiency.
  • Lead continuous improvement for productivity and standardization.
  • Ensure SHEQ compliance, audits, risk assessments, RCA/CAPA actions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and use data analytics for decisions.

Job description

What you´ll do
  • Manage and govern 3PLwarehouse operations to ensure adherence to service levels, companypolicies, operational standards, and contractual commitments.
  • Drive warehouse performancethrough KPI management, including inventory accuracy, cost control,quality compliance, safety performance, and service excellence.
  • Lead 3PL partner governanceand contract management by conducting regular performance reviews,managing SLAs, pricing agreements, and contract lifecycle activities.
  • Oversee warehousefinancials and cost optimization through invoice validation, budgetmonitoring, spend analysis, and identification of cost-savingopportunities.
  • Ensure effectiveutilization of warehouse systems and technologies, including SAP, WMS,EDI, and automation tools, to enhance operational efficiency andvisibility.
  • Drive continuousimprovement initiatives focused on productivity enhancement, processstandardization, operational excellence, and supply chain optimization.
  • Ensure compliance, quality,and risk management by maintaining SHEQ standards, supporting audits,conducting risk assessments, and implementing RCA/CAPA actions.
  • Collaborate withcross-functional stakeholders and leverage data analytics to supportstrategic decision-making, warehouse network optimization, spaceutilization, and successful onboarding of new warehouse facilities.

  • Ability to analyzeoperational performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, implementprocess improvements, and drive operational excellence.
  • Knowledge of SHEQstandards, audit management, regulatory compliance, RCA/CAPAmethodologies, and risk mitigation practices.
  • Strong communication,collaboration, negotiation, influencing, problem-solving, strategicthinking, and cross-functional stakeholder management skills.
