Job summary

Henkel India is seeking a seasoned Warehouse and Materials Management leader to optimize end-to-end operations at Kurkumbh plant. You will ensure material availability, FIFO/FEFO, inventory accuracy and regulatory compliance to support manufacturing.

You will drive KPI performance, lead 3PL teams, implement WMS and 5S, and coordinate audits in a manufacturing setting. A Bachelor’s in SCM or related field with 8+ years of experience is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or Engineering.
  • 8+ years of warehousing and materials management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, WMS, IATF 16949 and safety/compliance processes.
  • Experience leading 3PL teams and achieving warehouse KPIs.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management and continuous improvement skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, control and monitor end-to-end warehouse operations (Inwards, kitting, storage, outwards, FG dispatch).
  • Ensure safe handling, segregation and disposal of scrap per regulations.
  • Manage procurement, storage, issuance and inventory control of RM/pack materials with traceability.
  • Interface with Loctite plant warehouse and external stakeholders for Kurkumbh plant operations.
  • Maintain documentation per IATF 16949, MSA and internal procedures.
  • Monitor KPIs and supervise 3PL manpower, reviewing gaps and actions.

About this Position

To manage and optimize end-to-end warehouse and material management operations, ensuring seamless material availability, inventory accuracy, regulatory compliance, and adherence to quality, safety, and IATF standards. The role is responsible for driving operational excellence, stakeholder coordination, warehouse performance, continuous improvement initiatives, and effective inventory control to support uninterrupted manufacturing and business operations.

What You’ll Do
  • Plan, control, and monitor end-to-end warehouse operations (Inwards, kitting, storage, outwards, FG dispatch) ensuring material identification, traceability, FIFO/FEFO, and prevention of mix‑ups.
  • Ensure safe handling, segregation, and timely disposal of hazardous and non‑hazardous scrap in compliance with statutory, customer, and IATF requirements.
  • Manage procurement, storage, issuance, and inventory control of Raw and packaging materials, ensuring availability, shelf‑life control, and usage traceability.
  • Act as primary interface with Loctite plant warehouse & Production to address daily material‑related issues and serve as SPOC for external stakeholder warehouse operation in HAIL Kurkumbh plant manufacturing.
  • Maintain and ensure readiness of all documented information related to warehouse operations in accordance with IATF 16949, MSA, and internal procedures.
  • Monitor daily KPIs (inventory accuracy, dispatch adherence, scrap removal, manpower productivity) and supervise 3PL manpower, review gaps, risks, and corrective actions during monthly performance reviews.
  • Coordinate and support internal audits, external audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections, including closure of findings through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Ensure on‑time and error‑free RM PM dispatch to Kurkumbh plant from external warehouse, maintaining compliance with customer‑specific requirements (CSR).
  • Conduct monthly physical inventory counts, variance analysis, and corrective actions to ensure inventory accuracy and loss prevention.
  • Present monthly warehouse performance, risks, improvement actions, and compliance status to the Materials Management Manager.
  • Lead performance dialogue sessions, TBTs, training, and awareness programs to strengthen quality culture and competency of PISPL manpower.
  • Drive effective implementation of WMS, Smart Factory, and digital initiatives through defined MOC (Management of Change) procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to Good Warehouse Practices (GWP), 5S, safety norms, and risk‑based thinking across warehouse operations.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Materials Management Manager to support compliance and business continuity.
  • Manage timely disposal of hazardous and non‑hazardous scrap as per statutory requirements. Knowledge of cost saving, quality standards adherence, E‑way Bills & call‑off execution of imported RM from port, local RM from supplier.
  • Review and evaluate service provider performance against defined quality and compliance criteria.
  • Escalate system, compliance, and operational risks impacting IATF requirements.
  • Allocate roles and responsibilities within the warehouse team.
  • Authorize warehouse‑related records and documented information.
What Makes You a Good Fit
  • Should have a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field; a PGDBM in /Material Management/Logistics/Supply Chain qualification is preferable.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in warehouse and materials management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Should have strong knowledge of inventory control, warehouse operations, WMS, IATF 16949 requirements, safety standards, hazardous waste management, and statutory compliance processes.
  • Should have experience in managing 3PL teams, driving warehouse KPIs, conducting inventory audits, handling dispatch operations, and ensuring material traceability through FIFO/FEFO practices.
  • Should have strong analytical, problem‑solving, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement skills, with exposure to digitalisation initiatives, cost optimisation, and supply chain compliance processes.
