Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Ltd. in Bengaluru seeks an automotive calibration engineer to drive drivability calibration, pedal and torque path maps, and energy target alignment across vehicle variants.

You will collaborate with simulation, software, and validation teams to extract actionable insights and ensure robust calibration workflows. The role requires hands-on experience with ECU/VCU drivability projects and familiarity with ETAS INCA, Visu, Vector CANoe and AVL tools, along with a valid

Qualifications

• Experience in ECU/VCU drivability calibration projects.
• Need for valid 4-wheeler driving license.
• Exposure to calibration tools ETAS INCA, Visu, Vector CANoe, AVL.

Responsibilities

• Generate and calibrate pedal maps, brake maps, regen maps and related torque path parameters.
• Calibrate vehicle drivability to meet targets.
• Calibrate for range and energy targets at in-house and homologation/test facilities.
• Work with simulation and modelling engineers for calibration insights.
• Coordinate with architecture, software development and validation teams to achieve calibration goals.
• Maintain calibration changes across vehicle variants.
• Conduct test drives for limited maneuvers with a valid driving license.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Generate and Calibrate Vehicle Pedal maps, Brake maps, Regen Maps and Parameters related to Torque Path, Creep control, Hill Hold Control, Vehicle tip-in/tip-out, Acceleration, Speed limitation, Torque limits etc
• Perform Vehicle level drivability calibration/Torque Path calibration to meet Drivability targets
• Perform Calibration for meeting Range and Energy Consumption Targets both at Inhouse and at Homologation/Certification/Test facilities
• Work on model based calibration methods using pre-simulation of functions and features before actual calibration on vehicles
• Work closely with Simulation and Modelling engineers to gather relevant insights relevant for calibration
• Perform calibration of Sensors used for SoC measurement
• Perform calibration of Battery management system (BMS) functions
• Performa Calibration of specific motor control parameters related to driveability
• Coordinate with other departments such as architecture, software development & validation team to ensure achievement of calibration goals
• Manage and maintain all calibration changes as applicable to different vehicle variants
• Be able to take test drives of atleast limited driving maneouvres and hold a valid 4wheeler driving license
• Must have worked in atleast any one ECU/VCU Drivability Calibration Project
• Exposure to Calibration tools - ETAS INCA, Visu,VECTOR Cannoe, AVL
• Must have overview of Vehicle compnents and its functionalities
• Valid 4 wheeler driving license and ability to carryout atleast simple limited test drives
