Job summary

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. in Gurugram is seeking a Calibration & Vehicle Simulation Engineer to lead petrol engine calibration activities across development, validation, and production phases.

You will develop and optimize engine control strategies for performance, fuel economy, emissions, and drivability, analyze ECU functions, and apply MATLAB/Simulink, GT SUITE, AVL CAMEO, ASCMO MOCA, and Model Connect to deliver robust calibration solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, mechatronics, or a related discipline.
• 3–6 years of experience in engine calibration or vehicle simulation.
• Experience across development, validation, and production phases.
• Strong understanding of Bosch, Denso, and Magneti Marelli ECU architectures.

Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis

• Drive systematic root cause analysis for complex engine and calibration issues.
• Develop long-term corrective and preventive actions.

• Apply data-driven engineering methodologies to identify improvement opportunities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate effectively with: Controls & Software Teams, Testing & Validation Teams, Program Management, Suppliers and External Development Partners.
