WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US

DMS Change Management provides reference data management and valuation solutions for many of the world's leading and most innovative financial institutions, including regional and global banks and asset management firms. The Lead Software Test Engineer in the DMS Change Management Team is a strategic asset for our organization operating in this complex and demanding sector. They own the test strategy and quality direction for their area, bringing deep domain knowledge, technical expertise, a proven track record, and strong leadership qualities that are essential for ensuring the quality, reliability, and security of software applications that underpin the financial system. By defining test strategy, driving automation adoption, and identifying and preventing bugs early in the development cycle, the Lead Test Engineer plays a crucial role in mitigating risks associated with software releases across the team's portfolio. This can translate to significant cost savings for the company by avoiding rework and potential financial losses due to errors in production. Lead test engineers take on formal leadership responsibility within testing teams — setting direction, guiding and mentoring senior and junior members, conducting test strategy and design reviews, and representing QA in stakeholder and leadership forums. Their experience makes them the primary driver of knowledge sharing and team development.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth understanding of Capital Markets: financial instruments, trading platforms, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Deep experience across testing methodologies: manual testing, regression, smoke, sanity, automation, and API testing.
  • Proficiency in agile methodology and workflow, Azure DevOps, and Salesforce know-how, with the ability to shape team-level process and tooling decisions.
  • Deep knowledge of Test Automation Frameworks (Hybrid and Data-driven) and the ability to define the target framework strategy for the team.
  • Knowledge of databases and SQL queries: ability to write and review queries to extract test data or verify results.
  • Testing Activities: Own and define test strategy and test plans across the program: align testing activities with business requirements and project objectives.
  • Oversee the development of comprehensive test cases across the team, covering functionalities, user journeys, and edge cases.
  • Set quality gates and drive execution of manual and automated test cases; ensure defects are identified, reported, tracked, and resolved.
  • Drive performance and security testing practices to ensure systems meet performance and security standards.
  • Analyze test results and quality metrics across the team, identify trends, and drive improvements to optimize testing processes.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders: developers, product owners, business analysts, and leadership.
  • Collaborate with development leads to resolve defects, improve code quality, and align on quality standards.
  • Lead code and test strategy reviews and provide testing feedback and direction to the team.
  • Present testing results, quality metrics, and strategic recommendations to leadership in clear and concise reports.
  • Model a proactive mindset, eager to learn new things and drive a culture of efficiency and accuracy.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Own team capability development: mentor senior and junior test engineers, identify skill gaps, and drive training plans.
  • Stay updated on industry trends: continuously learn and adapt to new technologies, regulations, and testing best practices in the Capital Markets domain, and cascade this knowledge to the team.
  • Contribute to the testing community: drive knowledge-sharing initiatives through presentations, internal training, or participation in industry forums.
  • Own specific testing areas end‑to‑end: act as the subject matter expert and escalation point for specific areas of testing within the Capital Markets domain.
WHAT WE VALUE
  • Must have 10+ years of experience as a Test Professional in Quality Assurance, including demonstrated experience leading or mentoring a testing team.
  • Expertise in the ETL Process.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest testing developments, with the ability to set direction on adoption for the team.
