Job summary

Embarkgcc Services seeks a seasoned Software Engineer/Technical Consultant to lead enterprise solutions across Java, Spring Boot, REST, Kafka, and PostgreSQL. You will translate client objectives into scalable designs and drive implementation through Deployment.

You will collaborate with product, architecture, and delivery teams, mentor juniors, and ensure quality via reviews, tests, and standards. Experience in banking tech is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as Software Engineer, consultant, or engineer in SaaS or banking tech.
• Strong client-facing and requirements-management skills.
• Proficient in Agile delivery (Scrum, TDD/BDD).
• Experience with large enterprise or hybrid cloud environments.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical designs.

Solution Implementation and Delivery Excellence

• Able to design, build, and implement enterprise-grade software solutions aligned with customer and platform requirements.
• Able to develop well-structured, testable, and efficient code across application and integration layers (Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Kafka, PostgreSQL).
• Ensure solution quality through rigorous testing, peer reviews, and adherence to coding standards.
• Lead technical tasks from requirements gathering through deployment.
• Troubleshoot implementation issues and collaborate with teams to resolve them efficiently.

Customer Engagement and Technical Partnership

• Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Translate business objectives into technical designs and configuration approaches.
• Conduct technical workshops, design reviews, and demonstrations to build client confidence.
• Support delivery and ensure a seamless transition from implementation to production.
• Maintain ongoing engagement with customer technology teams to support solution stability and evolution.

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Enablement

• Collaborate with product engineering, architecture, and delivery teams to align implementations with organsiataion platform strategy and standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying reusable patterns and best practices.
• Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and communities of practice to strengthen team capabilities.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers or consultants.

Operational Support and Quality Assurance

• Assist in post-implementation support and troubleshooting, ensuring system reliability and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor production performance and coordinate with operations teams to ensure uptime and data integrity.
• Document and report key implementation learnings for future improvements.

Must Have:

• Strong understanding of software development life cycle, integration patterns, and modern API architectures.
• Knowledge of cloud concepts (Azure preferred), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with banking systems and data integration frameworks in enterprise financial services environments.
• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, Technical Consultant, or Customer Engineer, preferably in Saas or banking technology implementations.
• Proven ability to deliver end-to-end software or integration solutions using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Apache Kafka, and PostgreSQL.
• Demonstrated client-facing experience managing technical discussions, requirements, and expectations.
• Experience in Agile delivery environments (Scrum, TDD/BDD).
• Experience troubleshooting complex, distributed systems in production environments.
• Application development experience in large enterprise or hybrid cloud environments.
