You will collaborate across teams, participate in 24/7 on-call, and drive reliability through IaC, CI/CD, and proactive problem solving in a modern data platform environment including Kafka, SQL Server, and Azure data services.

Role Title:

Position Summary:

• Responsible for designing, integrating, and managing complex systems, including building and running Infrastructure & Cloud Services, focused on producing high-quality solutions and improving existing technology systems through orchestration and automation.
• They will focus on enhancing existing processes and developing and implementing solutions through various technology disciplines.
• They collaborate with infrastructure engineers, software engineers, chapter leads, service and product owners, and other multidisciplinary staff based on shared goals and agile practices.
• This is a hands‑on position that will work side by side with other team members throughout the Infrastructure and Cloud Product and Service Organization. As a cross‑functional team member, they will be flexible, participate in mutual understanding, and continuously evaluate processes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan: Provide estimates for work effort for product sprints and service kanban.
• Participate as SME in recommending technology solutions to the product team.
• Participate as SME in the maintenance and upgrade tasks for services supported.
• Participate as SME in resolving incidents and fulfilling requests escalated to service.
• Run: Assist with root cause analysis for problems related to services.
• Work closely with vendors to ensure delivery of support contracts.
• Participate in 24/7 on‑call rotation.
• Build: Complete related technical work effort.
• Communicate blockers and requests for help for agile teams.
• System Reliability: Improve the reliability of high‑scale systems by using automation to improve the process, the environment, and the technology stack.
• Leverage automation where possible to ease or eliminate manual tasks.
• Transition products and features to the service organization by leveraging automation wherever possible, including updating records systems and creating or updating wikis.
• Support and operate modern data platform services including SQL Server, Oracle, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Kafka, and emerging platforms such as Databricks and Microsoft Fabric.

Skill and Experience:

• 5 years of experience required to perform essential job functions.
• Additional Experience Qualifier (optional): 5+ years of experience in application support, infrastructure support, database, server administration, information technology, platform services, or another related discipline. A focus on scripting and automation.

• Platform engineering experience across infrastructure, cloud, operating systems, networking, security, monitoring, and service management disciplines
