Job summary

FM India seeks an experienced Oracle database administrator to design, integrate, and manage complex systems. This role focuses on building and running infrastructure and cloud services, with an emphasis on orchestration and automation to improve existing processes and deliver high-quality solutions.

The position requires collaboration with infrastructure and software engineers, chapter leads, and product owners in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Oracle database platform administration and operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan: Provide estimates for work effort for product sprints and service kanban.
• Participate as SME in recommending technology solutions to the product team.
• Participate as SME in the maintenance and upgrade tasks for services supported.
• Participate as SME in resolving incidents and fulfilling requests escalated to service.
• Run: Assist with root cause analysis for problems related to services.
• Work closely with vendors to ensure delivery of support contracts.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Build: Complete related technical work effort.
• Communicate blockers and requests for help for agile teams.
• System Reliability: Improve the reliability of high-scale systems by using automation to improve the process, the environment, and the technology stack.
• Leverage automation where possible to ease or eliminate manual tasks.
• Transition products and features to the service organization by leveraging automation wherever possible, including updating records systems and creating or updating wikis.
• Support and operate modern data platform services including SQL Server, Oracle, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Kafka, and emerging platforms such as Databricks and Microsoft Fabric.

Role Title:

Position Summary:

Responsible for designing, integrating, and managing complex systems, including building and running Infrastructure & Cloud Services, focused on producing high-quality solutions and improving existing technology systems through orchestration and automation.

They will focus on enhancing existing processes and developing and implementing solutions through various technology disciplines.

They collaborate with infrastructure engineers, software engineers, chapter leads, service and product owners, and other multidisciplinary staff based on shared goals and agile practices.

This is a hands-on position that will work side by side with other team members throughout the Infrastructure and Cloud Product and Service Organization. As a cross-functional team member, they will be flexible, participate in mutual understanding, and continuously evaluate processes.

Job Responsibilities:

• 5 years of experience required to perform essential job functions.
• Additional Experience Qualifier (optional): 5+ years of experience in application support, infrastructure support, database, server administration, information technology, platform services, or another related discipline. A focus on scripting and automation.
