Job summary

Solugenix is seeking a seasoned Kafka Engineer to design, deploy, and manage Confluent Kafka platforms across on-prem or cloud environments. The role emphasizes scalable, reliable streaming workloads, Terraform-driven infrastructure, and Kubernetes-based deployments in hybrid setups.

You will collaborate with development teams to optimize streaming pipelines, monitor cluster health, and automate CI/CD for Kafka configurations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Kafka/Confluent technology.
• Strong knowledge of Kafka internals and architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and Kubernetes deployments.
• Experience in cloud or hybrid infrastructures.
• Experience implementing CI/CD for Kafka configurations and deployments.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and maintain Confluent Kafka clusters in production.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform (topics, service accounts, cluster configs).
• Deploy Kafka components (Brokers, Schema Registry, Connect, KSQL, Control Center) using Helm, Operators, or custom manifests.
• Design high-availability, security, and data integrity into Kafka infrastructure.
• Implement Kafka Connectors to integrate with databases, S3, Elasticsearch, etc.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Confluent Kafka Engineer to design, deploy, and manage event streaming solutions using Confluent Platform (on-prem or Confluent Cloud). The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Kafka internals, hands‑on experience with Terraform, and Kubernetes-based deployments, with a strong focus on scalability, reliability, and automation in cloud or hybrid infrastructures.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Architect, deploy, and maintain Confluent Kafka clusters in production using Confluent Platform or Confluent Cloud.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, including creation of topics, service accounts, and cluster configurations.
• Deploy Kafka and Confluent components (Brokers, Schema Registry, Connect, KSQL, Control Center) using Helm, Operators, or custom Kubernetes manifests.
• Design Kafka infrastructure with high availability, security, and data integrity.
• Implement Kafka Connectors (sink/source) to integrate with various data systems (DBs, S3, Elasticsearch, etc.).
• Work with development teams to optimize producer/consumer pipelines and streaming applications.
• Monitor Kafka cluster health, lag, throughput using Confluent Control Center, Prometheus, Grafana, or other monitoring tools.
• Automate deployment pipelines and implement CI/CD for Kafka configurations and Terraform modules.
• Troubleshoot performance and reliability issues within Kafka and supporting infrastructure.
• Stay updated on Kafka and Confluent ecosystem best practices and contribute to platform evolution.
