Job summary

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in HLD/LLD for large-scale, high-transaction BSS or e-commerce platforms.
• Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures, distributed systems and design patterns.
• Proven ability to document complex architectures with diagrams and models (C4, sequence, class).
• Strong knowledge of BSS domains such as rating/charging engines, billing cycles, and order lifecycles.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Lead - Design to join our core engineering team. You will be responsible scaling next-generation Business Support Systems (BSS) within a cloud-native environment. The ideal candidate is a technical leader who thrives on complex systems integration, understands the intricacies of telecommunications and digital commerce, and is a pioneer in leveraging AI-driven workflows to accelerate the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Key Responsibilities:
• High-Level Design (HLD): Architect the end-to-end system topology for BSS components, defining microservices boundaries, communication patterns (synchronous vs. asynchronous), and cloud-native integration strategies.
• Low-Level Design (LLD): Define granular technical specifications, including data schemas, API contracts, sequence diagrams, and state-machine transitions for core BSS modules (Charging, Mediation, Billing).
• Workflow Orchestration: Design complex business logic and process orchestration flows using engines like Camunda or n8n to ensure seamless integration between order management and network core services.
• System Integration Design: Architect event-driven integration patterns using Kafka and API Gateways to ensure data consistency and system reliability across distributed environments.
• Technical Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation (C4 models, sequence diagrams, class diagrams) to guide engineering teams through the implementation phase.
• AI-Enhanced Design: Utilize AI-assisted modeling tools to simulate system behavior, optimize architecture patterns, and validate design scalability before code implementation.
• Required Qualifications:
• Proven Expertise: Significant experience in HLD and LLD for large-scale, high-transaction E-commerce or BSS platforms.
• Architectural Proficiency: Deep understanding of cloud-native architecture, distributed systems, and design patterns (e.g., Saga pattern for distributed transactions in BSS).
• Technical Visualization: Advanced ability to document complex system architectures, data flows, and inter-service dependencies for engineering and stakeholder review.
• Domain Knowledge: Strong grasp of BSS-specific domains such as Rating/Charging engines, Billing cycles, and Order Management lifecycles.
