Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking a Lead – Structural Steel to oversee site execution, coordination, and delivery of structural steel works. You will ensure erection aligns with drawings, schedules, and safety norms.

You will plan and manage erection activities, lead engineers and subcontractors, review drawings, and monitor progress to avoid delays, handling materials and storage on site.

The role requires coordinating with design teams and planning to maintain project timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience leading structural steel erection on construction sites.
• Strong knowledge of IS standards and safety norms.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural steel erection activities on site per drawings and schedules.
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Review drawings, fabrication progress, and resolve technical issues with design teams.
• Develop micro-schedules for steel delivery, fabrication and erection.

Job Description

Lead – Structural Steel – Site is accountable for overall execution, coordination, and delivery of structural steel works at the project site. This role oversees planning, supervision, quality, and subcontractor management, ensuring that structural steel erection aligns with the project schedule, design specifications, and safety norms.

Plan, manage, and execute structural steel erection activities as per approved drawings, quality standards, and project timelines. Lead and coordinate a team of engineers, supervisors, foremen, and subcontractors involved in structural steel fabrication and erection. Review structural steel drawings, connection details, fabrication/shop drawings, and resolve technical issues in coordination with design teams. Develop and monitor micro-level schedules for steel delivery, fabrication, and erection activities in coordination with the planning team.

Track material delivery and steel fabrication progress to avoid delays in erection, and ensure proper material handling and storage at site.
