Job summary

Adani is seeking a seasoned Inventory & Stores Manager to oversee SOP adherence, inventory control, and scrap management across store operations. The role focuses on implementing standardized systems, managing inbound receipts, and maintaining accurate SAP records.

With 6+ years of stores/inventory experience, you will monitor shelf-life, classify items by criticality, oversee material issuance, and drive IMS compliance while mentoring teams and prioritising risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Science, commerce, supply chain management, business administration or related area. Prefer certificate or diploma in inventory/materials management
• More than 6 years of experience in managing stores, inventory management and scrap management

Responsibilities

• A ascertain adherence to SOPs and guidelines for store management, inventory control and scrap management
• Assist in implementation of standard systems/templates/processes for inventory management
• Manage inbound material receipts and maintain accurate documentation for procured and delivered materials
• Monitor inventory shelf life and classify items based on criticality and movement status
• Monitor issuance of materials to end-users and update inventory levels
• Maintain records in SAP including material issues, procurement and inventory transactions
• Assist in identification and liquidation of non-moving inventory (NMI)
• Oversee IMS standards across purchasing, storage and billing operations
• Identify and prioritize risks for stores, inventory control, liquidation and disposal
• Update the category risk register
• Keep up with digital and AI advancements to enhance business

Ascertain adherence to SOPs and guidelines for store management, inventory control and scrap management

Assist in implementation of standard systems/templates/ processes for inventory management

Manage inbound material receipts and maintain accurate documentation for procured and delivered materials.

Monitor inventory shelf life and assist in classifying items based on criticality and movement status (e.g., SMI, NMI)

Monitor the issuance of materials to end-users and ensure timely updates to inventory levels.

Maintain accurate records in SAP, including details of material issues, procurement, and inventory transactions.

Assist in identification and liquidation of non-moving inventory (NMI)

Implement asset scrapping or asset write-off basis DoA

Oversee the adherence to IMS standards across all purchasing, storage, and billing operations, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.

Assist in identifying and prioritizing all risks for stores, inventory control, liquidation and disposal

Responsible for updating the category risk register

Keep up with digital and AI advancements to enhance business and maintain competitiveness.
