Job summary

Adani Power Limited, Raipur, Chhattisgarh, seeks an Inventory and Store Management professional to implement standard inventory systems and manage store operations for the designated category. You will track material availability and maintain SAP records, ensuring timely material issues and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities include evaluating shelf life, classifying stock by criticality, and assisting in liquidation of non-moving inventory and surplus items as directed by head stores.

Qualifications

• More than 4 years of experience in managing stores, inventory management and scrap management.
• Experience of working with SAP - Material Management Module/ SAP Material Master, SD module for waste and scrap management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementation of standard systems/templates/processes for inventory management.
• Store management for the assigned store category.
• Track availability of materials/products and manage inventory levels at warehouse/stores.
• Assist in material issue to users and update inventory after issue.
• Maintain accurate records in SAP (documents and details of material issues/procurement).
• Forward invoices and supporting documents to Head accounts through Document Control Cell.
• Resolve discrepancies in inventory based on electronic records.
• Evaluate shelf life and classify inventory by criticality and ageing.
• Identify and liquidate non-moving inventory (NMI) and surplus stock as directed.
• Assist in asset scrapping or write-off per DoA.

Inventory and Store Management

Inventory Management SOP and Guidelines Design

• Assist in implementation of standard systems/templates/ processes for inventory management
• Store Management (for the assigned store category)
• Track the availability of different materials/products and manage inventory levels at the warehouse/ stores
• Assist in executing the process for material issue to the user and timely updating inventory level after issue of goods
• Maintain accurate records in SAP (documents and other details of material issues, material procured, etc.)
• Forward the invoices and supporting documents to Head accounts (HAC) through Document Control Cell

Routine Inventory Control and Management

• For the assigned store category, assist in resolving any discrepancies pertaining to inventory based on electronic records that represent the inventory and the physical state of the inventory
• Assist in evaluating shelf life of the inventory for the assigned store category and help classify based on criticality [like Vital Essential Desirable] and ageing (such as slow-moving inventory (SMI) / Non-moving inventory (NMI) / Normal Spares)

Liquidation and Disposal (Scrap or Write-Off) Of NMI & Surplus Inventory

• Assist in identification and liquidation of non-moving inventory (NMI)
• Execute asset liquidation (identified by concerned user) and other material including NMIs to be scrapped as per the directive of Head- Stores
• Implement asset scrapping or asset write-off basis DoA
