Job summary

Improzo Solutions Pvt. Ltd. seeks an experienced Lead Software Engineer to drive design and development of core platform components for an AI-first Analytics Platform in the Life Sciences space.

You will guide a team of engineers, translate architecture into robust implementations, and ensure timely, high-impact delivery across product areas like Launch Planning, Segmentation, Brand Management, and Dashboards.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in CS/engineering or related field.
• 6–10+ years of hands-on software product experience with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role.
• Proficient in Python and backend frameworks (Django/Flask).
• Strong experience with data engineering and big-data ecosystems (SQL/NoSQL, Spark, Kafka, Airbyte, Databricks, Snowflake).
• Knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Cloud platform experience (AWS preferred; Azure/GCP acceptable).
• CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, TeamCity); Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitoring/logging (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Exposure to AI/ML, LLMs, and agent frameworks.
• Sensitivity to security, privacy (HIPAA, CCPA, SOC) in regulated environments.
• Familiarity with life sciences data and commercial datasets is desirable.
• Strong problem-solving, delivery focus, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of key platform components for an AI-first Analytics platform.
• Serve as technical owner for major subsystems—align with platform architecture and product vision.
• Mentor and lead a team of software engineers in Python (Django/Flask), data engineering, and AI/ML.
• Collaborate with product architects, managers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into designs.
• Drive integration of AI/ML and generative AI capabilities (LLMs, agents, workflows).
• Build scalable data pipelines and backend services using Spark, Kafka, Databricks, Snowflake.
• Enforce engineering best practices around coding, testing, security, performance, observability.
• Own hands-on development, code reviews, and design reviews to ensure quality.
• Oversee CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud-native deployments with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Partner with data scientists to operationalize AI/ML models in production.
• Foster Agile, delivery-focused culture and contribute to hiring and mentoring.
• Stay abreast of analytics and AI trends and apply pragmatically.

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Lead Software Engineer to lead the design and development of core components of our next-generationAnalytics Platform with a growing suite of AI-powered applications. In thisrole, you will combine strong technical depth with people leadership, guiding ateam of engineers to build scalable, high-quality solutions in the dataanalytics and AI/ML space for the Life Sciences industry.

You will play a critical role in translating platform architecture into robustimplementations, driving engineering best practices, and ensuring timely, high-impactdelivery of features that empower our users across the Life Sciences valuechain (Product Launch, Segmentation, Brand Management, Sales ForceEffectiveness, Reporting & Dashboards, etc.).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design anddevelopment of key platform components for an AI-first Analytics andApplications platform.
• Act as a technical ownerfor major subsystems, ensuring alignment with overall platformarchitecture and product vision.
• Guide and mentor a team ofsoftware engineers specializing in Python (Django/Flask), dataengineering, and AI/ML.
• Collaborate closely withProduct Architects, Product Managers, and business stakeholders totranslate architectural direction and requirements into high-qualitytechnical designs and implementations.
• Drive the development andintegration of advanced AI/ML and generative AI capabilities (LLMs,agents, workflows) into the platform for use cases such as LaunchPlanning, Field & HCP Engagement, Segmentation, and Personalization.
• Build and maintainscalable data pipelines and backend services using modern big-datatechnologies (Spark, Kafka, Databricks, Snowflake, etc.).
• Establish and enforceengineering best practices around coding standards, testing, security,performance, and observability.
• Own hands-on development,code reviews, and technical design reviews to ensure high-quality,maintainable solutions.
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines,DevOps practices, and cloud-native deployments using Docker, Kubernetes,and automated release workflows.
• Partner with datascientists and ML engineers to operationalize, deploy, and monitor AI/MLmodels in production.
• Foster a collaborative,Agile, and delivery-focused engineering culture that balances speed withquality.
• Contribute to hiring,onboarding, and performance development of engineering team members.

Stay current with emergingtechnologies and trends in analytics, data engineering, and artificialintelligence, applying them pragmatically to product development.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’sdegree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 6–10+ years of hands-onexperience in building and scaling software products, with at least 2–3years in a technical leadership or lead engineer role.
• Strong proficiency inPython and backend frameworks such as Django or Flask.
• Solid experience with dataengineering and big-data ecosystems, including SQL/NoSQL databases, Spark,Kafka, Airbyte, Databricks, Snowflake, or similar technologies.
• Good understanding of datamodeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience working with atleast one modern front-end framework (React, Angular, Vue.js, etc.) andcollaborating closely with UI teams.
• Hands-on experience withcloud platforms (AWS preferred; Azure or GCP acceptable).
• Practical experience withCI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, TeamCity), containerization (Docker,Kubernetes), and monitoring/logging solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELKstack).
• Exposure to integratingAI/ML models into applications; experience with generative AI, LLMs, andagent frameworks (e.g., CrewAI, LangChain) is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with security,compliance, and data privacy considerations (HIPAA, CCPA, SOC) inregulated environments.
• Knowledge of life sciencesor biopharma domain and commercial datasets (IQVIA, Symphony, Komodo,Veeva, OCE, etc.) is highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solvingskills with a pragmatic, delivery-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communicationskills and the ability to influence across engineering, product, and businessteams.
