EPAM Systems, Inc. in Pune, India seeks a Lead Software Engineer to lead the delivery of Java full-stack systems using Spring Boot and Angular for modern, scalable software.

You will build microservices and REST APIs, support front-end/back-end integration, and uphold engineering quality. The role requires 8–12 years of software engineering experience, strong Java/Spring/Angular skills, REST APIs, databases, and cloud-aware practices, with excellent communication in English.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of professional software engineering experience.
• 4+ years of Java development experience.
• Proficiency with Java 8, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Expertise in Angular and JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
• REST APIs and databases (PostgreSQL/Oracle).
• Experience with microservices and cloud-based apps.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git tooling.
• Strong communication in English (B2, Upper-Intermediate).

Responsibilities

• Lead development and ongoing maintenance of full-stack applications using Java 8, Spring Boot, and Angular.
• Implement, test, and deploy microservices and REST APIs with scalability and reliability.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
• Create front-end components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for responsiveness and accessibility.
• Tune application performance and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployments.
• Diagnose and fix issues in development and production environments.
