Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is expanding its backend engineering group and seeking a Lead Software Engineer - Java with Spring Boot to set direction and deliver reliable services. You will architect Java microservices on Azure Cloud and Serverless, implement RESTful APIs, and uphold security and quality through reviews and CI/CD.

You will guide engineering peers, drive architectural decisions, and champion Agile/DevOps practices across the lifecycle, including containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience designing and developing with Java 21, Quarkus and Java/JEE.
• Expertise with Spring Boot, Spring Security and JUnit.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, Sybase, PL/SQL).
• Background in microservices architecture, Azure Cloud and Serverless.
• Proficiency with containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Experience building RESTful APIs and integrating backend with frontend.
• Experience with Git/GitLab CI/CD and Agile methodologies.
