Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer – Java FS Angular to drive design, development and delivery of scalable full-stack solutions. You will mentor teammates and collaborate across cross-functional groups across time zones.

Responsibilities include gathering requirements, coding to standards, conducting reviews, creating tests, supporting releases, and ensuring performance and security. Strong communication and English at B2 level is required.

Qualifications

• 8 to 12 years of software engineering experience.
• Expertise in Java 8+, Spring Boot and REST APIs.
• Proficiency in Microservices architecture.
• Skills in JUnit, JavaScript and SQL.
• Understanding of software engineering best practices and design patterns.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Good communication and analytical skills.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
• Nice to have familiarity with AI Copilot tools.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with stakeholders on requirements gathering and demonstration of work results.
• Develop code based on established coding standards and architecture guidelines.
• Conduct code reviews and provide guidance to team members.
• Create efficient unit, acceptance and integration tests.
• Collaborate with Delivery Lead and Scrum Masters to facilitate releases.
• Support testing, training and implementation phases of projects.
• Handle non-functional requirements such as performance and security.
• Interact with interface teams to ensure end-to-end functionality.
• Deliver high-quality outputs while working across cross-functional teams in different time zones.
