Job summary

Siemens Technology and Services Private Limited in Pune seeks a Lead Software Engineer to design and architect embedded systems, lead a 6–10 person team, and push complex firmware projects across subsystems.

You will review requirements, drive hardware–software integration, and mentor cross-cultural engineers while using JIRA, Polarion/DOORS, and Git; frontend or AI-driven tooling experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• BE in Electronics & Communication / CS
• 13+ years of experience
• Hands on experience designing and architecting Embedded Systems solutions
• Hands on experience on Embedded C, C++ and Linux based application development
• Strong concepts on multi-threading and IPCs
• Experience leading a development team of 6 to 10 members
• Experience with backlog/requirement tools like JIRA, Polarion/DOORS, GIT
• Hands on experience on hardware interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, RF, GPS, etc.) and bootloaders

Responsibilities

• Design and architect embedded systems solutions across multiple subsystems
• Lead and mentor a development team of 6–10 engineers
• Review system and software requirements, and translate them into designs
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams and global locations
• Manage backlogs and requirements using JIRA, Polarion/DOORS, and GIT
• Ensure hardware–software integration and debugging from kernel to application level

We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer

You’ll make a difference by:

• BE in Electronics & Communication / CS
• Experience level: 13-15 years
• Hands on experience on designing and architecting Embedded Systems solutions
• Hands on experience on Embedded C, C++ and Linux based application development.
• Strong concepts on multi-threading and IPCs.
• Experience with designing large applications that involve multiple sub-systems and components.
• Experience of leading a development team of 6 to 10 team members.
• Hands on experience in reviewing system and software requirements, architecting and designing solutions to meet the requirements.
• Experience with backlog management tools like JIRA, requirement management tools like Polarion/ DOORS, GIT.
• Hands on experience on I2C, SPI, UART, RF, Cell Modems, GPS, Display, EEPROM, SD-Card etc
• Hands on experience on Bootloader
• Hands on experience on Basic Hardware level debugging (Multi meter, Oscilloscope, Signal generator, Power supplies, Soldering)
• Shell scripts
• Hands on experience on Kernel Debugging, GDB, JTAG
• Strong communication skills to lead a cross-cultural team.
• Good to have:
• Exposure to applications that involve frontend components and configuration tools.
• Able to understand end to end workflows
• Exposure to Spec Driven Development Approach with AI
