Job summary

DXC Technology is seeking an Automation Tester to drive QA, loading testing and data-driven automation across multiple programs. You will build and maintain automated testing frameworks and lead testing initiatives with engineers, architects, and product managers from the start of development.

The role requires strong knowledge of Python, Java, SQL and APIs, with experience in monitoring tools like Dynatrace and Splunk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
• Expertise in testing methods, automation and test case creation.
• Strong analytical and leadership skills with attention to detail.
• Experience in Testing Automation Frameworks for mobile apps and SDKs.
• Knowledge of Python, Hadoop, Spark, Java, SQL, APIs (REST/SOAP).
• Experience with code reviews, scanning tools and configuration, and branching techniques.
• Experience with application monitoring tools Dynatrace and Splunk.
• Experience with Chaos, security, and crypto testing practices.
• Experience with Performance Testing and DevOps (CI/CD, Jenkins).
• Nice to have knowledge of Kafka, NiFi, Airflow, and Microservices.

Job Description: Automation Tester is a pivotal role, responsible for QA, Loading Testing and Automation various data-driven pipelines. The position involves managing testing infrastructure for Functional test, Automation and co-ordination of testing that spans multiple programs and projects. The ideal candidate will have experience working with large-scale data and automation testing of Java, Cloud Native application/services. Position will lead the development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks Provide technical leadership for new major initiatives Deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions which align to enterprise standards Drive the reduction of time spent testing Work to minimize manual testing by identifying high-ROI test cases and automating them Be an integrated part of an Agile engineering team, working interactively with software engineer leads, architects, testing engineers, and product managers from the beginning of the development cycle Help ensure functionality delivered in each release is fully tested end to end Manage multiple priorities and tasks in a dynamic work environment.

All About You

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience with hands on technical and quality engineering skills Expertise in testing methods, standards, and conventions including automation and test case creation Excellent technical acumen, strong organizational and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail, critical thinking, solid communication, and proven leadership skills Solid leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to drive change Experience in Testing Automation Frameworks for mobile apps and SDKs Knowledge of Python/Hadoop/Spark, Java, SQLs, APIs (REST/SOAP), code reviews, scanning tools and configuration, and branching techniques Experience with application monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk Experience with Chaos, software security, and crypto testing practices Experience with Performance Testing Experience with DevOps practices (continuous integration and delivery, and tools such as Jenkins) Nice to have knowledge or prior experience with any of the following Apache Kafka, Apache Spark Orchestration with Apache NiFi, Apache Airflow Microservices architecture Build tools like Jenkins
