Job summary

OpenText is hiring a Lead Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain Highly Scalable, Distributed and Cloud-enabled OpenText Documentum Applications with direct client impact. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, architecture, and product management to deliver robust enterprise solutions.

The role requires hands-on experience with AI tooling (Langchain/Langgraph/Langfuse), modern JS frameworks, Java, Docker, Kubernetes, REST, and Oracle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 7 to 10 years related experience.
• Strong design and hands-on experience with building enterprise applications and server-side.
• Experience developing AI tools, agents, and agentic workflows. Well versed with Langchain, Langgraph, Langfuse and similar AI frameworks. Must have knowledge about the latest and greatest wrt Gen AI.
• Extensive experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, Java, Application Servers, Docker Containers, Kubernetes and Rest Services, Spring, Struts, Hibernate and Oracle.
• Proficiency in server technologies including J2EE & RESTful API
• Hands on experience on developing front end applications using any modern JavaScript framework.
• Experience with Java based aspect-oriented programming techniques.
• Strong / deep understanding of Object-oriented design and associated modeling tools.
• Working knowledge of open-source technologies: Linux, Apache technologies.
• Experience developing SQL Server based applications is plus.
• Experience with building product installers and applications development is plus.
• Must be confident, highly motivated and passionate about delivery and client satisfaction.
• Must have strong organization, communication (written and verbal) and planning skills.
• Must have extensive experience managing projects with Agile Scrum methodology.

Your Impact

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will design, develop and maintain Highly Scalable, Distributed and Cloud enabled Open Text Documentum Applications product suite with direct client impact. Work closely with cross-functional teams within OpenText and partner with key stakeholders.

• Partner with Product Management, Architecture, Engineering, other technical teams and Release Management to ensure effective launch and delivery of products both cloud & off cloud to satisfy business needs
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, internal and external.
• Apply best practices and coding patterns that ensure world-class solutions that are maintainable, modular, and of high code-quality.
• Drive automated solutions that enable better efficiency and process improvement.
• Manage communication cross-functionally and escalate promptly as issues arise.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must be AI native developer. Well verse with coding tool usage.
