Job summary

Tata AutoComp Systems Limited is seeking a calibration engineer to understand customer targets and define parameter sets for vehicle drivability projects. You will work closely with customers to calibrate engines and transmissions while managing tasks and reporting progress.

Responsibilities include analyzing calibration issues with the software team and translating customer needs into clear requirements. Strong English communication and on-site networking are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Engine/Transmission calibration (AT/DCT/AMT).
• Hands-on Jira and project management experience.
• Familiar with CANape or INCA calibration tools.
• Experience with AVL-DRIVE or RICARDO calibration suites.
• Experience with AVL-CRETA or similar calibration data software.
• Strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and spoken English; reporting skills.
• Flexible attitude and strong networking ability on-site.
• MATLAB/Simulink knowledge is a plus.

Job description

Role and Responsibilities

• You will play a key role in understanding customer targets for calibration. Together with the customer you will try to find the best parameter set for the given project scope.
• You will be carrying out vehicle drivability calibration and task management activities.
• You will analyze the issue encountered during calibration and discuss with Software team to find out the solution.
• You will translate customers needs in clear and structured way.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Engine/Transmission (AT/DCT/AMT) calibration.
• Have hands on experience on Jira tool/task, project management tool.
• Familiar with following calibration tools
• CANape or INCA
• AVL-DRIVE or RICARDO
• AVL-CRETA or other calibration data management software.
• Key characteristics: Team player, Problem solver/ Analytical mindset, Perseverance/ Goal-oriented.
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent knowledge of English, Fluent in making reports and status updates.
• Other must have
• Flexible attitude.
