Job summary

FIS invites a skilled QA Automation professional to join the Prime QA and Test Services (QATS) team. You will lead functional QA and automate test activities for web apps and services, leveraging Java/C# and modern automation tools.

You will design AI-driven testing workflows, integrate tests into CI/CD, and collaborate with QA, engineering, and business stakeholders to raise quality and reliability. The role emphasizes strong OO design, API testing across REST/SOAP/RPC, and proactive adoption

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 6+ years of work experience in software/quality engineering.
• 4+ years of hands-on automation testing using Selenium, Playwright, XUnit, NUnit.
• 4+ years of experience with APIs (REST, SOAP, RPC).
• Strong programming skills in Java/C#/Python and solid OO fundamentals.
• Experience with GenAI, LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG and AI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive Functional QA and Test Automation for application components and services using Java/C#.
• Build and maintain automated tests for Web Applications and Web Services using Playwright, Selenium and related tools.
• Build and integrate GenAI, LLM, and Agentic AI solutions to automate business and quality engineering workflows.
• Design and optimize AI workflows, prompts, and LLM applications for accuracy, reliability, and efficiency.
• Explore emerging technologies to improve delivery outcomes.
• Identify bottlenecks and apply AI-assisted solutions to improve speed, quality, and consistency.
• Design, develop, and optimize comprehensive Unit Tests with clear code and decision coverage.
• Work with API testing across REST, SOAP, and RPC interfaces.
• Contribute to architecture/design discussions with OO mindset.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins/Bamboo).
• Apply coding standards and SDLC best practices.

About the team

You will be part of our Prime QA and Test Services (QATS) team, supporting quality engineering initiatives for critical client applications. The role focuses on building and strengthening Unit, Functional QA and Automation practices across delivery teams, with strong collaboration between QA, Engineering, and Business stakeholders. You will help drive test strategy, improve code quality, and ensure reliable releases through CI/CD-aligned testing.

What You will be doing

• Own and drive Functional QA and Test Automation for application components and services using Java/C#.

• Build and integrate GenAI, LLM, and Agentic AI solutions to automate business and quality engineering workflows.
• Design and optimize AI workflows, prompts, and LLM applications for accuracy, reliability, and efficiency.
• Explore and implement emerging technologies such as MCP, multi-agent systems, and AI automation to improve delivery outcomes.
• Identify process bottlenecks and problem areas, then apply AI-assisted solutions to improve speed, quality, and consistency.
• Design, develop, and optimize comprehensive Unit Tests with clear code and decision coverage.
• Work with API testing across REST, SOAP, and RPC interfaces.
• Contribute to architecture and design discussions with a strong object-oriented development mindset.
• Integrate automated tests into DevOps pipelines and CI tools (for example Jenkins/Bamboo) to ensure visibility and fast feedback.
• Apply object-oriented programming principles using Java/C#.
• Learn and apply new technologies quickly and accurately.
• Apply coding standards, SDLC best practices, and quality engineering practices consistently.
• Analyze system requirements and troubleshoot technical issues quickly with strong problem-solving skills.
• Document test strategy, standards, and reusable testing patterns for wider team adoption.
• Collaborate with QA and engineering teams to establish test cases and trigger automation across environments.
• Coach and guide team members on reusable tools, frameworks, and automation best practices.
• Support implementation and lifecycle of quality-focused infrastructure and operational documentation.

What you bring

• Four-year college degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 6+ years of relevant work experience in software engineering/quality engineering.
• 4+ years of hands-on Automation Testing experience using frameworks with Selenium, Playwright, XUnit, NUnit
• 4+ years of experience working with APIs (REST, SOAP, RPC).
• Strong programming skills in Java/C#/Pyhton and solid object-oriented programming fundamentals.
• Practical experience with Playwright, Selenium/WebDriver for test automation.
• Hands-on experience with GenAI, LLMs, Prompt Engineering, RAG, and Agentic AI.
• Practical use of GitHub Copilot for faster and higher-quality delivery across test cases, test data, and automation.
• Curiosity and ability to quickly learn, evaluate, and apply emerging AI technologies responsibly.
• Working knowledge of DevOps and Continuous Integration tooling.
• Good knowledge of XML and HTML.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills (verbal and written English).
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work effectively across functional teams.
• Understanding of architecture design concepts and software development lifecycle processes.

Added Bonus if you have

• Experience in Financial services or Payment domain.
• Familiarity with ISO 8583 message format.
• Experience with BDD/TSS frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlow.
• Working knowledge of code coverage/quality tools such as SonarQube.
• Exposure to C#, Java, Python, Oracle Pl/Sql, Postman, Bruno.
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript, PowerShell, CSS, and related test automation ecosystem tools.
