Job summary

FIS is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to drive automated testing across enterprise fintech solutions. You will design scalable frameworks, build API tests, and integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid deployments.

You will collaborate with global teams to raise quality standards and deliver robust software products. The role requires hands-on experience with Selenium/Cypress/Playwright and programming in Java/Python/JavaScript/C#.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/IT or equivalent.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions for enterprise applications.
• Hands-on with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG or JUnit.
• Experience building and executing API tests using Postman, REST Assured or equivalent.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

About the Role

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise fintech solutions through scalable test automation and quality engineering practices. You will collaborate closely with software engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle. This role focuses on building automated testing frameworks, increasing release confidence, and driving continuous improvement across complex applications and distributed systems. Success is measured through automation effectiveness, product stability, defect prevention, and delivery excellence.

What You Will Be Doing

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and reusable test assets.
• Create automated test suites for functional, integration, API, regression, and end-to-end testing.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions for enterprise applications.
• Hands-on expertise with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, quality engineering principles, and Agile delivery practices.
• Experience building and executing API tests using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent technologies.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation integration using modern DevOps practices.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
• Experience working with relational databases and validating data integrity through automated testing.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across global teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in financial services, fintech, regulatory technology, or enterprise software environments.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, or k6.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with behavior-driven development (BDD) frameworks and practices.
• Understanding of security testing concepts, vulnerability assessment, and secure development practices.
• Experience creating test automation strategies for microservices and distributed architectures.
