Job summary

Siemens Smart Infrastructure in India (Goa) is seeking a Lead Product Owner (R&D) for Energy Distribution Digitalization to guide next-generation digital solutions across utility and industrial sectors.

You will bridge business needs with technology, leading cross-functional teams and shaping a market-leading software platform for distribution networks.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, Requirements Engineering, or Program Management.
• Proven track record of delivering software-intensive products and digital platforms.
• Experience in power distribution, distribution automation, grid management, smart grid, DER management, microgrids, or related energy domains.
• Strong understanding of digital technologies including cloud platforms, IoT, data analytics, AI, cybersecurity, and enterprise software ecosystems.
• Experience working within Agile frameworks such as Scrum, SAFe, or Lean Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Energy Distribution Digitalization solutions.
• Translate market trends, customer needs, and business objectives into innovative digital products and services.
• Lead and align Product Owners, development teams, UX specialists, architects, and domain experts across multiple locations.
• Manage complex product development initiatives, ensuring alignment on scope, quality, timelines, risks, and business value.
• Define and prioritize product backlogs based on customer value, market opportunities, and strategic objectives.
• Foster collaboration between Product Management, R&D, Sales, Business Development, and Customer Success organizations.
• Support the integration of emerging technologies such as AI, cloud services, analytics, IoT, and digital platforms into distribution automation solutions.
• Drive agile development practices and continuous product improvement.
• Engage directly with customers and key stakeholders to validate market needs and ensure successful product adoption.

Your Impact:

As Lead Product Owner, you will:

What You Bring

Education

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

• Significant experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, Requirements Engineering, or Program Management.
• Proven track record of delivering software-intensive products and digital platforms.
• Experience in power distribution, distribution automation, grid management, smart grid, DER management, microgrids, or related energy domains.
• Strong understanding of digital technologies including cloud platforms, IoT, data analytics, AI, cybersecurity, and enterprise software ecosystems.
• Experience working within Agile frameworks such as Scrum, SAFe, or Lean Agile environments.
• Demonstrated success leading international and cross‑functional product development organizations.
