As the Digital Technology Portfolio Lead, you will drive transparency, governance, and simplification across Siemens Energy's Digital Technology portfolio, covering applications, services, software, platforms, assets, and data. Leading a team of portfolio professionals, you will transform technology data into strategic insights that support architecture decisions, portfolio optimization, lifecycle management, and business value realization.

You will work at the intersection of Enterprise Architecture, IT Service Management, Technology Governance, and Digital Transformation, helping shape Siemens Energy's target IT landscape while reducing complexity and enabling informed decision-making across the organization.

Your Key Responsibilities

35% | Drive Digital Portfolio Transparency

• Establish and continuously enhance visibility across applications, services, software, platforms, assets, and data domains.
• Ensure portfolio information is complete, accurate, reliable, and actionable for stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Align portfolio structures with Enterprise Architecture standards, IT Service Management processes, Configuration Management practices, and Data Ownership models.
• Create a clear understanding of:
  • What technologies exist
  • Who owns them
  • How they are used
  • What business value they provide
  • What lifecycle, compliance, or risk considerations require attention
• Deliver meaningful portfolio reporting, dashboards, and insights that support strategic decision-making.

35% | Lead Portfolio Simplification & Optimization

• Identify duplication, overlap, technical debt, aging technologies, ownership gaps, and rationalization opportunities.
• Develop recommendations for application, service, software, and asset portfolio optimization.
• Support lifecycle management decisions, including:
  • Retain
  • Invest
  • Modernize
  • Consolidate
  • Replace
  • Retire
• Partner closely with Enterprise Architects to align portfolio decisions with Siemens Energy's target IT landscape.
• Transform portfolio insights into practical recommendations for CIOs, Technology Leaders, Portfolio Owners, Service Owners, Application Owners, and Governance Boards.
• Drive measurable outcomes through complexity reduction, cost optimization, and improved technology governance.

30% | Lead & Develop the Digital Portfolio Team

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Digital Portfolio professionals across areas such as:

Education & Experience

• Significant experience in:
  • IT Portfolio Management
  • Application Portfolio Management (APM)
  • Service Portfolio Management
  • Enterprise Architecture
  • Technology Governance
• Proven track record managing complex digital portfolios within large global organizations.
• Strong understanding of IT services, applications, software assets, technology platforms, infrastructure assets, and data landscapes.
• Experience in lifecycle management, risk management, governance, and portfolio reporting.
• Demonstrated success leading global teams and cross-functional transformation initiatives.

Certifications (Preferred)

• TOGAF® (The Open Group Architecture Framework)
• ITIL Foundation
• Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM)
