Job summary

Orange is seeking a seasoned Lead Product Owner to drive the vision, strategy, and execution of the Ordering Domain within the Telecom sector. This senior role bridges business aims with technology delivery and ensures robust order management across the organization.

The candidate will lead Product Owners and Business Analysts, own the backlog, collaborate with Scrum Masters, and align with enterprise architecture. Hybrid work setup in India, supporting global initiatives.

Qualifications

• Total Experience: 12-18 years in IT/Telecom industry.
• Product Ownership: 5+ years as a Product Owner or Senior Business Analyst.
• Telecom Domain: 8+ years in Telecom, specifically in Ordering domain.
• Technical Skills: Understanding of microservices architecture, APIs, and Azure cloud‑based platforms.
• Tools: Proficiency in JIRA and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the product vision and roadmap for the Ordering domain.
• Lead prioritization of features across order capture, management, orchestration, and fulfillment processes.
• Drive alignment with enterprise architecture and digital transformation initiatives.
• Own and manage the product backlog and ensure stories are well-defined and ready for sprint execution.
• Collaborate with Scrum Masters and Agile delivery teams for timely, high‑quality increments.
• Define and validate acceptance criteria, user stories, and functional specifications.
• Conduct sprint reviews, retrospectives and stakeholder demos.
• Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders, technology teams and external vendors.
• Engage with senior leadership, sales, operations and IT teams to gather requirements and communicate progress.
• Manage relationships with third‑party vendors and system integrators.
• Provide deep telecom ordering process expertise and ensure compliance with TM Forum Open APIs and MEF standards.
• Lead and mentor a team of Product Owners and Business Analysts; foster continuous improvement and customer‑centricity.

This is a senior leadership role that requires a deep understanding of telecom ordering systems, agile methodologies, and stakeholder management. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business objectives and technology delivery, ensuring seamless order management capabilities across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Define and own the product vision and roadmap for the Ordering domain, aligned with business goals and customer experience objectives.
• Lead the prioritization of features and capabilities across order capture, order management, order orchestration, and order fulfillment processes.
• Drive alignment with enterprise architecture and digital transformation initiatives.

Product Ownership & Delivery

• Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring stories are well-defined, prioritized, and ready for sprint execution.
• Collaborate with Scrum Masters and Agile delivery teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of product increments.
• Define and validate acceptance criteria, user stories, and functional specifications.
• Conduct sprint reviews, retrospectives, and stakeholder demos.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors.
• Engage with senior leadership, sales, operations, and IT teams to gather requirements and communicate product progress.
• Manage relationships with third‑party vendors and system integrators involved in ordering platform delivery.

Domain Expertise

• Provide deep expertise in telecom ordering processes.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards such as TM Forum Open APIs and MEF standards.

Team Leadership & Mentoring

• Lead and mentor a team of Product Owners and Business Analysts.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and customer‑centricity.
• Conduct performance reviews and support career development of team members.

  • SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (SAFe POPM)
