Lead Product Manager – Dynamic Availability will drive the product vision, strategy and execution while ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction. The role combines business and technical expertise to translate market needs into actionable product roadmaps and scrum deliverables.
Role and Responsibilities
- Drive product vision & strategy, and create business requirements documentation and analysis.
- Align product with technology strategy throughout the product life cycle.
- Manage product P&L and investment decisions, including scope, roadmap and priorities.
- Understand and monitor competitor and market landscape.
- Conduct customer visits, focus groups, conferences and other touch‑bases.
- Support sales, engineering, and commercial/delivery/care teams.
- Serve as the product SME within scrum teams.
- Write user stories, acceptance criteria, refine and prioritize backlog.
- Attend scrum ceremonies and guide teams.
- Analyze, triage and troubleshoot maintenance issues.
- Conduct internal and external demos as needed.
Qualifications and Education
- 7+ years of experience in airline technology.
- 3+ years in market‑facing roles engaging customers and prospects.
- Strong product and functional background with business and technology orientation.
- Curiosity to learn unfamiliar areas and become proficient quickly.
- Ability to present compelling, technology‑grounded solutions to business needs.
- Ownership mindset and both tactical and strategic thinking to drive measurable results.
- Independent, creative problem‑solver with strong project management skills.
- Comfortable working in a geographically distributed, team‑oriented environment.
- Excellent stakeholder navigation skills in a multi‑stakeholder environment.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and public speaking ability.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office for presentations and written communication.
- Storytelling and mapping skills; ability to define product feature sets.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related fields.
- Experience with Full‑Service Carriers, Low‑Cost Carriers or Travel Agencies.
- Knowledge of emerging trends in travel retailing and e‑commerce (e.g., AI/ML, dynamic offers).
- Tech‑savvy and able to collaborate with engineering for technical solutions.
- Experience with software development processes using Java, C++, SQL is a plus.
