Job summary

Sabre Travel Technologies in Bengaluru is seeking a Lead Product Manager for the Airline Experiences and AI team. You will own product vision, investment, planning, and lifecycle execution, increasing profitability of existing products and developing new ones, while aligning with company strategy.

You will translate market needs into user stories, coordinate with engineering, sales, and care teams, and act as SME in Scrum to guide backlog and demos.

Responsibilities

  • Drive product vision & strategy, business requirements documentation and analysis
  • Ensure alignment to technology strategy throughout product life cycle

  • Manage product area’s investment decisions, scope, roadmap, priorities

  • Conduct/attend visits, customer touch-bases, focus groups, conferences

  • Create, refine, prioritize scrum team's backlog, and accept work
  • Attend scrum ceremonies and provide guidance to scrum teams
  • Analyze, triage and troubleshoot maintenance issues

Team Description

Sabre is looking for a LEAD Product Manager in the Airline Experiences and AI team, that will be responsible for the product vision, investment, planning, and execution throughout its life cycle, including increasing the profitability of existing products and developing new ones, and ensuring the delivery of the best solutions and meeting revenue and customer satisfaction goals. You will be proficient in the product, understand its structure and architecture, its capabilities. You will capture market needs, customer input, usage, data and translate those into user stories that meet customer and market requirements and support the company’s strategy and technical innovation goals. The role possesses a unique blend of business and technical skills, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You will primarily look after the Travel Data products - Streaming and Batch, QIK, along with Data Connect, among other initiatives.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • 3 years of experience working with Airline technology
  • 2 years of experience in market-facing roles (e.g. engaging with customers and prospects)
  • Up to 1 Year of AI driven project experience
  • Business and technology-oriented, with a strong product and functional background
  • Abundant curiosity to delve into unfamiliar areas and quickly become proficient
  • Ability to present a compelling solution to a business need that is grounded in technology
  • Ownership mindset of individual and team objectives; with both tactical and strategic thinking to ensure measurable results
  • Ability to work independently and resolve professional, technical or operational project challenges in a creative, methodical manner
  • Comfortable working in a team-oriented, highly collaborative virtual environment that is geographically distributed
  • Ability to successfully navigate in a multi-stakeholder environment where there are often competing priorities, goals and challenges across our diverse set of internal and external customers and partners
  • Excellent self-organization skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize several projects in parallel
  • Strong business acumen and situational awareness
  • Must have excellent written and verbal English communications skills, and be a strong public speaker comfortable presenting or demonstrating technology in front of large groups at all levels of an organization
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office use for presentations and written communication

  • Bachelors/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related fields
  • Experience with Full-Service Carriers, Low-Cost Carriers or Travel Agencies
  • Knowledge of emerging trends in travel retailing and e-commerce (such as AI/ML, dynamic offers, etc.)
  • Tech-savvy, ability to engage with Engineering colleagues to drive technical solutions
  • Experience with software development process
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and Powerpoint
