BMC is looking for a Java Tech Lead, an innovator at heart, to join a team of highly skilled software developers, responsible for BMC’s Helix Capacity Optimization product.

Your Responsibilities:

1. Play a vital role in project design to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance are met.
2. Design and develop new features as well as maintain existing features by adding improvements and fixing defects in complex areas (using Java).
3. Assist in troubleshooting complex technical problems in development and production.
4. Implement methodologies, processes & tools.
5. Initiate projects and ideas to improve the team’s results.
6. On-board and mentor new employees.

Minimum Requirements:

To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

1. You have 12+ years of experience in Java Backend development.
2. You have experience as a Backend Tech Lead.
3. You have experience in Spring, Swagger, REST API.
4. You worked with Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes.
5. You are a self-learner who’s passionate about problem solving and technology.
6. You are a team player with good communication skills in English (verbal and written).

Whilst these are nice to have, our team can help you develop in the following skills:

1. Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).
2. Python, Node.js, C/C++.
3. Automation Frameworks such as Robot Framework.
