Job summary

Utthunga Technologies in Bengaluru seeks a Process Lead Engineer to oversee the process engineering discipline on multiple projects, ensuring technical excellence and on-time delivery.

You will lead the design, calculations, and reviews, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, participate in safety studies, interface with clients, and support procurement through commissioning to deliver reliable plant performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the process engineering team for assigned projects.
• Develop and review Process Design Basis, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Perform process calculations including mass and energy balance, equipment sizing, hydraulic calculations, relief load calculations, and utility consumption estimates.
• Review and approve process deliverables prepared by engineers and designers.
• Ensure compliance with applicable international codes, standards, client specifications, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Piping, Instrumentation, Electrical, Civil, and Project teams to resolve technical issues.
• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, PSSR, and other safety studies.
• Interface with clients, licensors, vendors, and third-party consultants.
• Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning stages.
• Support proposal activities, project estimation, and technical bid evaluations.
• Monitor engineering progress, resource allocation, and deliverable schedules.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and engineers-in-training.
• Drive process optimization initiatives to improve plant performance, safety, and reliability.
