Job summary

A global media solutions company is seeking a Lead People Partner to enhance employee experience and operational excellence in India. The candidate will manage HR operations, navigate the employee lifecycle, and foster a culture of inclusion and belonging. Ideal candidates will have over 8 years of HR experience, strong knowledge of HR processes, and the ability to thrive in a global environment.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in Human Resources.
Sound knowledge of HR processes and Indian labor laws.
Experience in global and shared service environments.
Exceptional cross-functional and cross-cultural communication skills.
Proficiency in AI tools, Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS systems, and virtual collaboration platforms.
Analytical mindset with sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
Willingness to work from Synamedia Bangalore office 2 days per week.

Responsibilities

Own the Employee Journey.
Manage complete employee lifecycle including onboarding.
Deliver operational excellence in HR operations.
Collaborate with the HR Services Team in Bangalore to ensure smooth HR operations, compliance with Indian labor laws, accurate records management, and process integrity.
Be the Local HR Expert.
Serve as the go-to for all India-specific HR policies, procedures, and processes; stay updated on changes and ensure compliance.
Design and facilitate engaging events and initiatives with Site Leaders and Site Committees, while managing site budgets.
Collaborate Globally, Deliver Locally.
Align global HR strategies to local needs for the India team.
Drive Belonging and Engagement.
Lead initiatives strengthening team connection and inclusion.
Effectively manage vendor relationships (e.g., benefits providers) to support wellbeing while maintaining cost efficiency.

About the Role

We’re seeking an energetic and detail-driven Lead People Partner to enhance the employee experience and operational excellence across India. As part of the People & Places team, you’ll help connect, engage, and empower our people to thrive by:

Collaborating with our India HR Services team to deliver seamless HR operations across Chennai, Gurgaon, and Bangalore
Partnering with Site Leaders in India to create initiatives that foster connection, celebrate our values, and build a sense of belonging
Navigating employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, offboarding, and employee changes

Responsibilities

Own the Employee Journey
Manage the complete employee lifecycle—from seamless onboarding to smooth offboarding. This includes contracts, payroll coordination, benefits administration, and beyond.
Deliver Operational Excellence
Collaborate with the HR Services Team in Bangalore to ensure smooth HR operations, compliance with Indian labor laws, accurate records management, and process integrity.
Be the Local HR Expert
Serve as the go-to for all India-specific HR policies, procedures, and processes. Stay updated on legislative changes and ensure compliance at every step.
Design and facilitate engaging events and initiatives in collaboration with India Site Leaders and Site Committees, while managing site budgets effectively.

Qualifications
