Job summary

ACG Capsules in Pithampur is seeking a Lead - Operations to steer the automation program across material handling and capsule inspection processes.

You will draft and deploy annual and project-specific automation plans, coordinate vendors, work with SMEs, and ensure smooth handovers with updated SOPs and MIS dashboards. This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration and a focus on efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare an annual automation project implementation plan in consultation with stakeholders.
• Create a project-specific implementation plan aligned with the annual automation plan.
• Analyse automation opportunities to prioritise initiatives from a business perspective.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify pros and cons for feasible automation solutions.
• Collaborate with SMEs to create URS for automation projects and validate solutions.
• Vendor identification, co-ordination and management for automation projects.
• Plan and drive pilot implementations with the core team.
• Review SOPs/docs impacted by automation and update for handover.
• Update Project MIS and dashboards to track activities.
• Interface with Operations/CPT for knowledge transfer after pilots.

Job description

Lead - Operations, Pithampur, ACG Capsules

• Prepare a draft of the annual automation project implementation plan in consultation with the relevant stakeholders.
• Create a project specific implementation plan in line with the annual automation plan.
• Analyse automation opportunities from a business perspective to prioritise initiatives for implementation.
• Work jointly with key stakeholders to identify pros and cons at an operational level and accordingly arrive at a feasible solution for implementation.
• Collaborate with SMEs to create the URS for automation project and validating the various solutions.
• Vendor identification, Vendor co-ordination and Vendor management for automation projects. New Vendor Development in consultation with the procurement team, if required.
  • Provide a digital solution in streamlining processes.
  • Customize the standard offerings of the vendors to meet our requirements.
  • Plan and drive the pilot implementation of automation projects along with the identified core team.
  • Review any new proposed project layout for new sites from automation perspective and suggest changes to CPT/ TTT.
  • Collaborate with Projects team members in execution & site supervision activities for various projects. Help in finalization of various contracts & purchase orders.
  • Interface with TTT/ Operations/ CPT for knowledge transfer upon completion of pilot automation projects for future.
  • Review all the SOPs/ documents that are impacted by automation projects and modify/ create the same for future reference and seamless handover.
  • Conduct and participate in regular review meetings with various stakeholders
  • Update the Project MIS on a regular basis to track and monitor the implementation of identified project activities
  • Update and release Project dashboards on a regular basis.
  • Create Project roadmaps before initiating any project

Internal

• To ensure optimum efficiency in the HCM department
  • Develop process to achieve improved output
  • Plan & work within the budget for OT and spare parts
  • Track downtime/losses on machines & analyze the data, implement effective countermeasures to improve efficiency
• Drive system improvement by aligning improved practices to well-defined procedures
  • Understand the need for system improvement
  • Identify the gaps and improve the practices and procedures
  • Execute the plan for system improvement in discussion with all the stakeholders

People Development

• Manage implementation of end-to-end automation for material handling and capsule inspection processes
  • Understand all the processes related to material handling and capsule inspection
    • Understand all the processes related to material handling and capsule inspection
      • Analyze the strategic impact of automating these processes
      • Design new SOPs by discussing with the HODs
      • Implement the new processes by properly training all the stakeholders
    • Understand the implementation of IIoT and its strategic impact on the processes related to Gel room and HCM
    • Understand and analyze implementation of MES and its strategic impact to the existing processes
    • Generate the batch reports by using MES and share the optimized report with all stakeholders
    • Maintain daily/monthly MIS
