Job summary

Q2 is seeking a Lead Operations Analyst to join our Strategic Operations Team. The role emphasizes oversight of key operational initiatives, leveraging Salesforce, Jira, Python, SQL, Power BI, and advanced Excel.

You will support transitions and business operations by developing capacity models, analysing performance trends, building dashboards, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure programs are on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in a similar analytics/operations role.
  • Strong analytics-first mindset with problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Hands-on experience with Excel, SQL, Python for data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with Jira, Salesforce, Power BI, Qualtrics or similar analytics tools.
  • Experience building dashboards, data models, and docs using Excel, PowerPoint, Word; Visio or Lucidchart is a plus.
  • Experience managing stakeholder expectations and delivering data-driven recommendations in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to develop new initiatives and processes that improve customer satisfaction and reduce costs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: collect and interpret data from multiple sources to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to monitor KPIs related to capacity, cost and delivery timelines.
  • Present insights, forecasts, and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Create what-if and forecasting models for project P&L, capacity planning, and resource allocation.

Summary

Q2 is seeking a Lead Operations Analyst to join our Strategic Operations Team. In this role, you'll be responsible for overseeing key operational initiatives, leveraging tools like Salesforce, Jira, Python, SQL, Power BI and advanced Excel. You will support operational transitions and business operations by developing capacity models, analysing performance trends, building insightful dashboards and collaborating closely with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure programs are delivered on schedule and within budget.

This incumbent must have a strong analytics‑first mindset leveraging statistical techniques, historical trend analysis, and the integration of multiple data sources to create short‑ and long‑term forecasts, scenario models that support both strategic and tactical decision‑making across the business.

Responsibilities
Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Collect, analyse and interpret operational data from multiple sources to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Design, develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to capacity, cost and delivery timelines.
  • Present data‑driven insights, forecasts, and recommendations to senior leadership through clear, concise, and actionable reporting.
  • Build and manage what‑if, scenario‑based, and forecasting models for project P&L, capacity planning, and resource allocation.
Process Improvement
  • Analyse existing operational workflows and performance metrics to identify efficiency gaps and optimization opportunities.
  • Develop and implement process improvement strategies to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement changes and monitor their impact.
Project Management
  • Provide analytical support to strategic initiatives and operational programs by tracking progress, performance, and risks through data and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment on objectives, timelines, and success metrics, with a focus on insight generation.
  • Coordinate major transitions within the company, such as financial, technological, operational, and governance changes.
Experience and Knowledge
  • 8+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of experience with a Master's degree in a similar role.
  • Strong analytics‑first mindset with proven problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.
  • Hands‑on experience with advanced Excel, SQL, and Python for data analysis, modelling, and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of analytics and operational tools such as Jira, Salesforce, Power BI, Qualtrics, or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience building dashboards, data models, documentation, and analytical deliverables using tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; familiarity with visualization and process‑mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucid chart) is a plus.
  • Experience managing stakeholder expectations and providing data‑driven recommendations in dynamic, fast‑paced environments.
  • Ability to develop new initiatives and processes that produce higher levels of customer satisfaction while reducing expenses and shortening project durations.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills and a client‑first mindset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent people and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail, exceptional follow‑through, the ability to prioritize, stay organized, and multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Prior experience with Salesforce (or other CRM tools) and SharePoint preferred.
  • Financial Services and enterprise software experience preferred.
  • Experience building documentation and project plans using MS Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

This position requires fluent written and oral communication in English.
