Job summary

Ashok Leyland is seeking a candidate for the role at our Bhandara facility to oversee the Occupational Health Centre operations, ensuring 24/7 medical coverage for employees and nearby communities. The incumbent will manage essential medicines, equipment, and referral services to safeguard workforce health.

The role requires coordination of health check-ups, surveillance of occupational illnesses, and training staff on first-aid and health SOPs.

Qualifications

• Health assessment of workforce and treatment of injuries/illnesses sustained during occupation.
• Planning and executing health monitoring plan taking cognizance of statutory requirements.
• Certifying health-fitness for particular job.

Responsibilities

• Ensure round-the-clock operation of Occupational Health Centre for medical emergencies and illnesses of employees, their families and nearby population.
• Ensure availability of medicines, vaccines, consumables and equipment at the OHC and proper stock management.
• Develop prudent referral service by liaising with specialty clinicians and ambulance services when required.
• Timely reporting of occupational injuries and illnesses to stakeholders as defined in the injury reporting matrix.
• Plan and execute statutory and non-statutory health check-ups (pre-employment, pre-placement, periodic).
• Surveillance of occupational illnesses and diseases with preventive measures through industrial hygiene.
• Contribute to worker ergonomics by analyzing musculoskeletal conditions and reporting corrective measures.
• Conduct Health Awareness activities with medical experts.
• Train employees on health aspects (First-Aider, health-related SOP).
• Evaluate and manage workers' compensation cases and support Health Insurance schemes.

• Ensuring timely reportingof Occupational Injury & Occupational Illnesses to appropriate stakeholders as defined in injury reporting matrix of organization.

• Assuring inputs to workergonomic by analyzing & reporting musculoskeletal conditions &measures to reduce Effort Ergonomic Index.
• Planning & execution ofHealth Awareness on prevalent health topics by liaising with various expertisein medical field.
• Ensuring training ofemployees on various health aspects like First-Aider`s training, training onhealth-related SOP
