Job summary

TTBS in Mumbai invites an experienced Lead for Solution and New Product Development to design scalable telecom and managed network solutions, and to guide end-to-end technical design for new products. You will drive complex enterprise deals, collaborate with Product, Network Engineering, Sales and OEM partners, and ensure solutions meet security, SLAs and operational readiness.

Lead - Solution and New Product Development

Department: Product - Data and Access Services
Location: Head Office - Mumbai
Designation: Sr. Mng or DGM
Reporting To: Group Product Head - Data

1. Role Purpose

He or She will be responsible for designing innovative, scalable and commercially viable telecom and managed network solutions. The role will lead technical solution design for new product development, support complex enterprise customer opportunities, and collaborate with Network Engineering, Regional Solution teams, Product, Sales and OEM partners to develop differentiated solutions aligned with business growth objectives.

2. Key Responsibilities

New Product Development Solution Innovation

• Drive end-to-end technical design and development of new telecom, connectivity and managed service products.
• Identify emerging technologies and market opportunities across Connectivity, SD-WAN, LAN/Wi-Fi, SASE, Network Security, Cloud Connectivity and Managed Network Services.
• Work with Product, Network, Operations and Commercial teams to convert business requirements into market-ready solutions.

Complex Deal Solutioning Bid Support

• Collaborate with Regional Solution teams, Sales and Network Engineering to design solutions for complex enterprise and strategic customer deals.
• Lead technical solutioning for multi-location, multi-vendor and mission-critical customer requirements.
• Participate in customer workshops, technical discussions, RFP/RFI responses, presentations and Proof of Concept (PoC) activities.
• Act as the central technical interface between HQ Product, Network Engineering, Regional Solution teams, Service Delivery and Operations.

OEM Technology Partner Collaboration

• Work closely with OEMs and technology partners to co-create new services, integrated solutions and differentiated customer propositions.
• Evaluate OEM technologies, product capabilities, interoperability, licensing models and technical roadmaps.
• Drive solution validation, lab testing, PoCs, certifications and technical enablement with OEM partners.

Solution Governance Continuous Improvement

• Ensure proposed solutions meet technical standards, security requirements, customer SLAs and operational supportability.
• Capture learnings from complex deals and deployments to improve solution quality, delivery efficiency and customer experience.

4. Skills Competencies

• Telecom Network Architecture: Enterprise WAN, MPLS/IP-VPN, Internet Leased Lines (ILL), IP routing, switching, redundancy and network resiliency.
• Next-Generation Networking: SD-WAN, LAN/Wi-Fi, SASE, network security, cloud connectivity and managed network services.
• Enterprise Deal Support: RFP/RFI responses, customer presentations, technical negotiations, PoCs and cross-functional solution coordination.
• OEM Partner Management: Ability to work with OEMs such as Cisco, Fortinet, HPE Aruba, Palo Alto Networks, Sophos and other relevant technology partners.
• Commercial Acumen: Understanding of solution costing, TCO, pricing inputs, business case development and margin optimization.
• Emerging Technologies: Exposure to network automation, APIs, observability, AI Ops and intent-based networking is desirable.

5. Qualifications Experience

• Bachelor s degree in engineering, preferably Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science or Information Technology.
• Experience: 10-12 years in telecom enterprise networking
• Strong communication, analytical, presentation and stakeholder-management skills.

6. Preferred Certifications

• CCNP Enterprise / CCNP Security or equivalent networking certifications.
• OEM certifications in SD-WAN, network security, routing and switching.
• Cloud networking certifications from AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• ITIL Foundation or equivalent service-management certification.
