Job summary

HypTechie in Chennai, India seeks a Solution Specialist / Senior Solution Engineer to design customer-specific architectures for Core Network, SDM, IMS, and 2G/3G/4G/5G deployments, and to drive bid activities and technical delivery.

You will coordinate with internal teams and customers, create LLDs, perform risk assessments, and guide implementation while traveling up to 50% for deployments and engagements.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of GSM/UMTS/LTE/IMS networks.
• Experience with Core Network elements: SDL, HLR, HSS, IMS Node, MNP, EIR.
• Hands-on CNF, cloud virtualization, and VNF deployments.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments and network troubleshooting.
• Exposure to CBAM and Nokia Container Services (NCS).

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed customer solution architectures and perform risk evaluations.
• Own bid technical aspects: architecture design, effort estimation, scope definition, and BoM.
• Lead technical implementation during delivery and verify solutions.

Role Overview:

The Solution Specialist / Senior Solution Engineer will proactively plan and execute advanced technical activities that require deep knowledge across multiple domains or system levels. This role involves designing and implementing customer-specific solution architectures, supporting bid processes, and ensuring successful technical delivery of Core Network and SDM (Subscriber Data Management) solutions. The ideal candidate will act as a technical authority, capable of guiding both internal and customer teams through complex solution designs and implementations in the Telecom Core Network (2G/3G/4G/5G, IMS, SDM) domain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed customer solution architectures and perform technical risk evaluations.
• Own the technical aspects of bid preparation, including architecture design, effort estimation, scope definition, and BoM creation.
• Lead technical implementation during delivery and verify or adapt solutions throughout the realization phase.
• Align customer requirements with Nokia and 3rd-party product capabilities, ensuring architectural integrity.
• Design and execute integration operations and performance solutions for customer projects.
• Participate in customer discussions to gather and refine technical requirements.
• Create Low-Level Designs (LLDs) and implementation plans.
• Support troubleshooting of call flows (2G/3G/4G/5G/IMS/VoLTE) and solution deployments.
• Engage in automation initiatives using scripting tools (Shell, Python, PERL, Ansible).
• Travel up to 50% for project deployments and customer engagements.

Technical Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of GSM, UMTS, LTE, IMS Networks, and Call Flows.
• Expertise in Core Network Elements: SDL, HLR, HSS, IMS Node, OneNDS, MNP, EIR.
• Experience in SDM Solution Integration and Subscriber Database Migrations (HLR/HSS/EIR/MNP).
• Hands-on experience with CNF, Cloud Virtualization, and VNF Deployments.
• Experience with HP hardware, Juniper switches, and server room setup (rack, power, cabling).
• Familiarity with network configuration (routers/switches) and firmware management.
• Strong command of Unix/Linux environments.
• Experience in network troubleshooting (Wireshark or similar tools).
• Understanding of IP Networking and Telecom Security principles.
• Experience with VMware or OpenStack virtualization.
• Knowledge of microservices, SOA, and CI/CD architectures.
• Exposure to Cloudband Application Manager (CBAM) and Nokia Container Services (NCS) is a plus.
