Job summary

PeopleStrong seeks a Lead-Non-IT Procurement for Data Center & Infra. Responsible for procurement and vendor management of non-IT products for the data center, including colocation hardware, maintenance contracts, and MEP equipment.

You will manage end-to-end PR to PO, drive cost optimization, ensure contract compliance, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. SAP-MM experience required; BE/BTech with electronics or electrical engineering is expected.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech or equivalent in Electronics & Communication or Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• MBA-Operations/Supply Chain is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage PR to PO process including requirements, RFPs, offers, evaluations, negotiations, PO placement & logistics.
• Ensure cost effectiveness within budget; perform TCO evaluations.
• Obtain approvals as per DoA and ensure timely PR-to-PO actions.
• Oversee vendor onboarding, NDAs, & vendor assessments.

Job Purpose

Responsible for Procurement & Vendor Management of Non-IT Products (Colocation Products like Racks, RPDUs, Cage, CCTV, Biometric, Containment etc., Annual Maintenance Contracts for Infra items including all MEP Equipment, DGs, Sub-station eqpts etc, Spares Management, Service Contracts like FMS, Housekeeping, Security etc., Admin related Misc Items/ Services / consumables etc) for Data center business

Role Description

Key Responsibilities

• Managing complete PR to PO process including Requirement gathering, RFPs, obtaining offers, Comparative evaluations, Negotiations, Placement of Purchase Orders & Logistics.
• Cost Effective Procurement within the budgeted cost / targets, TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) evaluation.
• Obtain approvals according to Delegation of Authority.
• Ensuring TAT to adhere timely actions for PR to PO process.
• Managing Vendor On-boarding process & Vendor Assessment to ensure their capabilities / quality, Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) with Vendors.
• Preparing Terms & Conditions of Purchase Order, SLA finalization.
• Ensuring OTIF-Delivery of supplies & services as per the Contract terms.
• Price Trend Analysis for the Category items.
• MIS report submission on monthly basis, Spend Analysis.
• Vendor Performance Evaluation & Monitoring on regular intervals.
• Ensuring Procurement Compliance as per Internal Finance Control guidelines, ISO compliances adherence.
• Smooth Coordination with various internal & external stakeholders.
• Support Pre-sales team for various RFPs & Bids.
• Knowledge of SAP-MM Module.

Qualifications and Experience

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:(degree, training, or certification required)

BE/B-Tech or equivalent with Electronics & Communication or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. MBA-Operations/Supply Chain will be added advantage

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:(no. of years of technical, functional, and/or leadership experience or specific exposure required)

• 10 years+ procurement experience in relevant category.
• Must have experience on SAP-MM Module for minimum 5 years.
• Must be aware of various MEP equipment, DG set, Sub-station equipment etc.
• Knowledge of Labor compliances for service contracts would be added advantage.
• Familiarity of ISO 9K / 14K / 45K / 20K / 22K / 27K would be added advantage.
• Should be excellent in communication skills (written & verbal).
• Should be target oriented, time bound and achieve goals.
• Should possess good Interpersonal Skills, Problem Solving attitude, Critical Thinking, Collaborative approach, Persuasive skills & Analytical skills.
• Must have high standards of integrity & ethics.
• Good Team player & go-getter.
• Relevant experience in similar industry of Data Centre would be added advantage.
