Job summary

Allianz Technology seeks a Lead Network Engineer to provide third-level operations support for the global Cisco ACI/DCLAN team. You will work on the Cisco ACI solution deployed across Allianz globally and own L3 escalation for the DCLAN environment.

The ideal candidate has 10-13 years of infrastructure experience with hands-on Cisco ACI/Routing and Switching, plus familiarity with firewalls, cloud basics, and virtualization. Effective communication and mentoring of L2/L1 teams are essential.

Qualifications

• 10-13 years of infrastructure experience with Cisco ACI/Routing and Switching.
• BTech/BE or MCA/BSc/MSc CS/IT educational background.
• Infrastructure certifications are desirable.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Fundamental grasp of AI tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support and manage Allianz's global Cisco ACI/DCLAN solution as part of the DCLAN Operations team.
• Provide L3 level escalation operational support for Cisco ACI/DCLAN.
• Interact with customers to understand requirements and deployments.
• Own and support CISCO ACI migrations.
• Incident, change and problem management for the Cisco ACI/DCLAN solution.
• Coordinate with vendors (e.g., Cisco) until issue resolution.
• Collaborate with architecture, engineering and delivery/support teams for optimal Allianz Cisco ACI/DCLAN support.
• Engage with clients, plan technology lifecycle, and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Analyze network capacity and performance data to drive improvements.
• Create presentations/demonstrations for technology/process/client solutions.
• Support Audit Units and Information Security for periodic audits.
• Document infrastructure design, procedures and processes.
• Mentor L2/L1 CISCO ACI/DCLAN teams as needed.

Job description

Role – As a Lead Network Engineer, this position is responsible for providing third-level operations support for the Global Cisco ACI/DCLAN Operations Team. The work would primarily involve working with the Cisco ACI solution we have deployed in Allianz, globally. The candidate should have excellent experience in Cisco ACI and Routing / Switching and an overview of Firewall and Cloud technologies in order to be able to understand the overall traffic flow and support the DCLAN environment in the most optimal way.

The candidate should have around 10-13 years of relevant Infrastructure experience with excellent hands on experience on Cisco ACI / Routing Technologies. The other Technologies involved in this role are as mentioned below.

Experience/Domain Knowledge Needed

Primary Skills (L3 Level expertise – mandatory requirement):

• Cisco ACI – Primary skill
• Cisco Routing / Switching – Primary skill

Secondary Skills (Secondary Skills – Good To Have)

Responsibilities

• Support and manage Allianz's global Cisco ACI/DCLAN solution. The candidate will be part of the Allianz DCLAN Operations team.

• Working closely with Vendors (e.g. Cisco) for escalated issues until resolution.
• Collaborating with Architecture, Engineering and various internal and external delivery and support teams for ensuring Optimal support for the Allianz CISCO ACI / DCLAN solution.
• Proactively managing client engagement, technology lifecycle development, and planning and coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders
• Analysing, evaluating, and communicating network capacity and performance data with the objective of driving improvements to customer networks.
• Creating presentations and demonstrations related to technology, process, or client solutions as necessary.
• Support the Information Security Officer and the Audit Units for periodic Audits / PT on the CISCO ACI / DCLAN solution
• Documentation of infrastructure design, procedures and processes as part of Operational support activities.
• Mentoring and provide Technical guidance for the L2 and L1 CISCO ACI / DCLAN Operations teams, as needed.
