Job summary

Swan Corp in Mumbai is seeking a seasoned Lead for Material Master Data Management (MDM) to establish and drive the MDM function across SAP ECC/S4 HANA. The role covers governance, data standardization, cleansing, and compliance for project materials, MRO spares, and assets.

You will lead a 25-member MDM team, manage MEL, asset registers, BOMs, and criticality analysis for optimization, while ensuring compliance with engineering standards (ASTM, BS, IS, DIN, JIS).

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Material Master Data Management.
• 6+ years leading MDM teams with SAP MM expertise.
• Strong knowledge of piping, equipment, electrical & engineering materials.
• Expertise in Excel/CSV data handling & SAP mass processing tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead SAP MM Material Master creation, validation, classification & governance (ECC / S4 HANA).
• Define and implement MDM strategy, standards, and governance framework.
• Build and manage a high-performing MDM team (25 members).
• Drive data cleansing, migration, mass updates, and duplication control.
• Manage Master Equipment List (MEL), asset register, functional locations & BOMs.

Job Summary:

Seeking a seasoned MDM Leader to establish and drive the Material Master Data Management function across SAP systems. The role involves leading end-to-end material master governance, data standardization, cleansing, and compliance across project materials, MRO spares, and assets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead SAP MM Material Master creation, validation, classification & governance (ECC / S4 HANA).
• Define and implement MDM strategy, standards, and governance framework.
• Build and manage a high-performing MDM team (25 members).
• Drive data cleansing, migration, mass updates, and duplication control.
• Manage Master Equipment List (MEL), asset register, functional locations & BOMs.
• Identify & code MRO spares, perform criticality analysis & optimization.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards (ASTM, BS, IS, DIN, JIS, etc.).
• Monitor data quality KPIs, SLAs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with SCM, Engineering, Quality & Production teams.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years in Material Master Data Management.
• 6+ years leading MDM teams with SAP MM expertise (MM01/MM02, classification).
• Strong knowledge of piping, equipment, electrical & engineering materials.
• Expertise in Excel/CSV data handling & SAP mass processing tools.
• Proven experience in building MDM functions.

Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech in any Engineering discipline.
• SAP MM Certification is an advantage.
