Job summary

Maersk is seeking motivated interns to support the Lead Logistics Customer Experience & Ops- FinOps team in Pune. You will assist in costings, financial controls, reporting, and process improvements while learning logistics, finance, and supply chain workflows.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with operational reporting, stakeholder management, and digital solutions, contributing to efficiency and governance across cost-related activities.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with costings and financial controls.
• Knowledge of sales orders, purchase orders, receipts, and GR/IR.
• Ability to draft clear, professional email responses.
• Proficiency in Excel and MS Office for reporting.
• Willingness to learn automation and AI/Power Automate tools.
• Ability to maintain SOPs, IOPs, trackers and training materials.

Responsibilities

• Support Job Costing operations by ensuring timely processing of cost-related transactions.
• Assist in maintaining financial controls across SO/PO/RR/GR/IR processes.
• Contribute to customer experience and profitability through governance.
• Support process improvement with standardization, automation, and efficiency.
• Participate in Kaizen, Maersk Way and Visual Management System initiatives.
• Follow SOPs and IOPs while identifying opportunities for enhancements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve day-to-day queries.

About the Role

We are looking for motivated interns to support on our Lead Logistics Customer Experience & Ops- FinOps team.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Job Costing operations by ensuring accurate and timely processing of cost-related transactions in line with defined processes and service standards.
• Assist in maintaining financial controls and data accuracy across processes such as Sales Orders (SO), Purchase Orders (PO), Receipt Reconciliation (RR), and GR/IR activities.
• Contribute to customer experience and business profitability through attention to detail and adherence to financial governance principles.
• Support process improvement initiatives focused on standardization, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities using methodologies such as the Maersk Way, Kaizen, and Visual Management Systems (VMS).
• Follow established SOPs and IOPs while identifying opportunities for process enhancements and operational consistency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve day-to-day operational queries and ensure smooth process execution.
• Assist in data analysis, reporting, and preparation of operational metrics to support business decision-making.
• Maintain high standards of compliance, accuracy, and documentation across all assigned activities.
• Gain understanding of logistics, finance, and supply chain processes while supporting the Job Costing function.
