Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Lead JavaScript Automation Test Engineer to safeguard the reliability of our software platforms. You will lead a tester team, oversee automation flows, and continuously improve the test automation framework across geographies.

You will mentor testers, design robust test plans, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive coverage and high-quality releases.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of automation testing experience with a strong focus on JavaScript.
• 4–6 years JavaScript/TypeScript experience.
• 1+ year leadership in QA.
• Experience with UI automation tools such as Playwright, Mocha, Chai, Jest, Puppeteer, or Cypress.
• Background in Web Service/API test automation and framework development.
• Proficiency with WebDriverIO for UI testing.
• English proficiency at B2 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of testers through testing cycles.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and assess system requirements.
• Develop thorough test plans, test cases, and overall testing strategies.
• Design, implement, and execute automation scripts.
• Record, communicate, and track defects through resolution, ensuring fixes are verified.

• Monitor and analyze QA metrics to drive continuous process improvements.
• Stay up to date with emerging testing tools, technology trends, and best practices.
• Contribute actively to QA conversations and testing-related initiatives.
