Job summary

Johnson Electric Private Limited – Shared Services is seeking a Power BI Developer with 3–5 years of hands-on BI experience to design and deliver dashboards, reports and semantic models. You will work closely with leadership to translate requirements into scalable analytics using Power BI, Fabric, and the Power Platform.

The role emphasizes governance, performance tuning, data modelling and deployment across Power BI Service and Fabric environments for enterprise reporting and decision support.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Power BI development and service administration.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models and data modelling.
• Good understanding of Microsoft Fabric fundamentals and related concepts.
• Experience in Power BI/Fabric administration: capacities, gateways, workspaces, security, pipelines, licensing.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, DAX, M language and BI fundamentals.
• Understanding of data warehousing and enterprise reporting concepts.
• Exposure to Azure and Power Platform tools is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Manufacturing domain experience is preferred.
• Associate Degree in IT, CS, Eng or related field.

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, KPI scorecards, reports, and semantic models.
• Gather requirements from leadership and deliver scalable analytics solutions.
• Develop and optimize Power BI datasets, DAX measures, data models, and Power Query transformations.
• Administer and maintain Power BI Service and Fabric environments including capacities, gateways and deployment pipelines.
• Modernize Excel/manual reports using Power BI, Fabric, and Power Platform.
• Build and support Fabric-based dataflows, pipelines, lakehouse, and data integration.
• Collaborate with business and IT to promote self-service analytics and Fabric adoption.
• Stay updated with latest Power BI and Fabric features and best practices.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in Power BI Development and Power BI Service Administration.
• Strong hands‑on expertise in Power BI Reports, Dashboards, Semantic Models, DAX, Power Query, and Data Modelling.
• Good understanding of Microsoft Fabric fundamentals including Lakehouse, Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, Warehouse, OneLake, and Fabric capacity concepts.
• Experience in Power BI/Fabric administration activities such as capacities, gateways, workspaces, security models, deployment pipelines, and licensing.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, DAX, M language, and business intelligence fundamentals.
• Good understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modelling, and enterprise reporting concepts.
• Exposure to Azure and Power Platform tools such as Power Automate and Power Apps is an added advantage.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to present dashboards and business insights effectively.
• Manufacturing domain experience is preferred.
• Microsoft Certified PowerBI Data Analyst Associate or Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate.

• Work closely with business and IT teams to support Fabric adoption and promote self-service analytics across the organization.
• Stay updated with latest Microsoft Fabric and Power BI features and recommend best practices for enterprise analytics implementation.
