Job summary

Johnson Electric Group in Chennai is seeking a Lead IT Engineer - Data & BI to design and implement analytics using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric. You will build dashboards, KPI scorecards, and semantic models while shaping data pipelines and governance across the enterprise.

With 3–5 years in BI, you will optimize datasets, codify DAX measures, and collaborate with leadership to deliver scalable insights. Manufacturing-domain familiarity is preferred, and Azure/Power Platform skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Power BI development and administration experience.
• Strong skills in Power BI reports, dashboards, DAX, Power Query and data modelling.
• Hands-on with Microsoft Fabric concepts and admin activities.
• Experience with SQL, M language, data warehousing and BI fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, KPI scorecards, reports, and semantic models using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
• Gather business requirements from leadership and deliver scalable analytics solutions.
• Develop and optimize Power BI datasets, DAX measures, data models, and Power Query transformations.
• Administer and maintain Power BI Service and Fabric environments including capacities, gateways, workspaces, security, deployment pipelines, governance, and licensing.
• Modernize and automate Excel/manual reporting using Power BI, Fabric, and Power Platform solutions.
• Build and support Fabric-based solutions including Dataflows Gen2, Data Pipelines, Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake integration.
