Job summary

UST is seeking a QA/QE Engineer in Chennai, India, with strong data testing, test automation, and quality engineering expertise. The role requires hands-on experience in Python, Playwright, Pytest, BDD/Gherkin, Snowflake, SQL, and REST API testing.

You will validate data products, automate UI and API tests, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines. Ideal candidates will have experience with data pipelines, cloud data platforms, and agile delivery practices.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Python, Playwright, Pytest, BDD/Gherkin, Snowflake, SQL, and REST API testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based automation frameworks.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and ETL testing using Snowflake and SQL.
• Automate UI testing with Playwright.
• Automate API testing with Pytest, including fixtures, parametrization, and reporting.
• Create and maintain BDD/Gherkin feature files and business-readable test scenarios.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure high-quality delivery.

Key Skills & Responsibilities

Required Experience

Familiarity with Agile delivery and modern CI/CD practices. Preferred Financial Services / Investment Management domain experience. Exposure to tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, GitHub Actions, Allure, Airflow, or dbt.
