Job summary

UST in Bengaluru, India seeks a hands-on Test Engineer to strengthen our QA team. You will design manual and automated tests and contribute to test strategy, execution, and automation development.

You will create test plans, maintain scripts, and collaborate across product and development teams. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential to ensure high-quality software releases.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing.

• Proficiency with Playwright, PyTest and Python for automation scripts.
• Experience with API testing and test data management.
• Solid understanding of STLC, agile processes, and defect lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute manual test cases for functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright, PyTest, and Python.
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects throughout the defect lifecycle.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure adequate test coverage.
• Participate in test planning, effort estimation, and release readiness activities.
• Create and maintain test documentation, including test scenarios, test data, and test reports.
• Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and contribute to process improvements.
• Enhance test frameworks and promote automation best practices.
• Work closely with CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and quality assurance activities.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

Job Description We are looking for a hands-on Test Engineer with strong experience in both manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate should have expertise in Playwright, PyTest, and Python, along with a practical, detail-oriented approach to ensuring software quality. Experience with Selenium WebDriver, Jenkins, Load Testing, and testing AI-enabled applications is preferred. This role involves contributing to test strategy, test execution, automation development, and continuous quality improvement.
